    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly is used for connecting to a chip module. The electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector and a dust-proof cover. The electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of terminals and a shell covering the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a second cavity for receiving the chip module. The shell defines an opening corresponding to the second cavity. The dust-proof cover includes a dust-proof portion covering the opening and a pair of inclined pushing portions protruding from the dust-proof portion to the second cavity. The dust-proof cover has a plurality of supporting portions for supporting the dust-proof portion. The supporting portions separate from the shell when the inclined pushing portion is pushed by the chip module, and the dust-proof cover separates from the electrical connector.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a terminal module including a base, a mating tongue, a row of first terminals, a row of second terminals and a shielding plate. Terminals comprise contacting portions, middle portions and leg portions. Each row of terminals comprises three pairs of differential signal terminals, and grounding terminals and power terminals. The shielding plate defines a first row of openings corresponding to the contacting portions, a second row of openings and third row of openings both corresponding to the middle portion. The first row of openings are aligned with the contacting portions of the first and second terminals in a vertical direction and the second row of openings are at least aligned with gaps between every two adjacent terminals while the shielding plate defines no opening corresponding to the middle portions of the three pair of differential signal terminals so as improve shielding performance.

    Abstract: A tool for catching an IC package comprises a main body, a plurality of operation arms and a plurality of clamping arms. The main body has a base and a plurality of lateral portions rotating relative to the base. The operation arms each extends upwardly from a top portion of a corresponding lateral portion. The clamping arms each extends downwardly from a lateral portion and is formed with a clasping portion at a free end thereof, the clasping portion has a latching slot. The operation arms bring the lateral portions to rotate inwardly and open the clamping arms.

    Abstract: A plug connector includes a connector body defining a front mating cavity with a first inner side and a second inner side opposite to the first inner side, and a rear cable supporting platform with a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first inner side and a plurality of terminals. The terminals include two rows of contacting sections arranged along the first and second inner sides of the mating cavity and soldering legs extending to the platform to be welded to a cable. The soldering legs are arranged in one row and exposing to the first surface of the platform while the second surface of the platform has no soldering legs to be welded to the cable.

    Abstract: An electrical connector mounted on a PCB includes: an housing comprising a base, a mating tongue and a mounting portion, each surface of the mating tongue defining twelve terminal positions (P1) through (P12); two rows of terminals, each terminal including a mating portion, a leg portion and a middle portion connecting with the mating portion and the leg portion, each leg portion defining a soldering pad. Each row of terminals include grounding terminals in terminal positions (P1, P12) power terminals in terminal positions (P4, P9), and there are no terminals set in terminal positions (P2, P3, P10, P11). The soldering pads of the two rows of terminals are arranged in one row and at least two grounding terminals or two power terminals aligned with each other in a vertical direction are located side by side so as to share a same pad defined on the PCB.
