    Abstract: A pick-up truck bed includes a plurality of plates longer in a longitudinal direction than in a transverse direction that are assembled together along longitudinally extending edges to a laterally adjacent one of the plates. The plates each include a plurality of supporting structures longitudinally extending along a length of the plates that support the plates on transversely extending cross-members. A left-side plate defines a left wheel housing cutout, a longitudinally extending central plate includes first and second complementary interlocking features on opposite longitudinally extending sides, and a longitudinally extending right-side plate defines a right wheel housing cutout. The left-side plate includes a first interlocking feature and the right-side plate includes a second interlocking feature that each receive one of the complementary interlocking features of the central plate.

    Abstract: A vehicle body includes a longitudinal roof spine and a plurality of roof bows extending laterally from the roof spine to a plurality of pillars that extend upwardly from a lower body structure. The roof bows and pillars are connected by corner connectors that include a plug end that is received in an opening defined at an outer end of the roof bow. The opening is defined in a bottom wall of the outer end of the roof bow and is assembled over and supported by the plug end. The opening in the bottom wall of the roof bow is defined between the two side walls.

    Abstract: A tailgate assembly is provided for a pickup truck tailgate. The tailgate assembly includes a tailgate, a bracket, an L-shaped platform, and a retractable link. The L-shaped platform is pivotally attached to the bracket, which is selectively attachable to the tailgate. The L-shaped platform pivots about a pivot point to assist in loading objects into the truck bed by lifting them into the truck bed and rolling/sliding them into the truck bed. The retractable link facilitates the pivoting of the L-shaped platform and is attached to the bracket and a distal end of the L-shaped platform.
