A machine learning apparatus includes a first information acquiring unit that acquires first information including at least one of a shape of a workpiece, a material of the workpiece, a cutting path of a cutting process, a type of a tool, and an amount of wear of the tool; a second information acquiring unit that acquires second information correlated with an evaluation of a burr occurring on the workpiece due to the cutting process; and a learning unit that executes learning processing using a plurality of pieces of the first information and a plurality of pieces of the second information, and generates a learning model that outputs a cutting condition, according to another piece of first information that is different from the plurality of pieces of first information.

A machine learning device learning a condition associated with an end-of-life failure of an electronic component in network-connected equipment connected to a network, including a state observation unit that observes a state variable obtained based on at least one of a hardware configuration, manufacturing information, an operating status, a use condition, and an output from a sensor detecting a state of a surrounding environment of the network-connected equipment; a determination data acquisition unit that acquires determination data on determination of presence or absence of the end-of-life failure or a degree of the end-of-life failure of the electronic component in the network-connected equipment; and a learning unit that learns, based on training data created from an output from the state observation unit and an output from the determination data acquisition unit, and teacher data, a condition associated with the end-of-life failure of the electronic component in the network-connected equipment.

A monitoring device monitors an abnormality in number of times of repetition of opening/closing of an output signal of a relay, and identifies a cause of the abnormality if the abnormality in number of times of repetition of opening/closing of the output signal of the relay is detected. This monitoring device includes an output signal monitoring unit that monitors an abnormality in number of times of repetition of opening/closing of an output signal of a relay, and a cause identification unit that identifies a cause based on periodicity of repetition of opening/closing if the output signal monitoring unit has detected an abnormality in number of times of repetition of opening/closing. The relay is opened/closed based on a control signal received from a numerical control device, and the cause identification unit may determine occurrence of an abnormality in the control signal if periodicity of repetition of opening/closing is detected.

A machining apparatus is provided with a machine learning device that performs machine learning. The machine learning device performs the machine learning by receiving the input of machining accuracy between a machining shape of a workpiece measured on-machine and design data on the workpiece and machining time of the workpiece measured by a measurement device. Based on a result of the machine learning, the machining apparatus changes machining conditions such that the machining accuracy increases and the machining time becomes as short as possible.

A key switch on a machine control panel is provided with two contacts such that the machine control panel can include two independent communication circuits. Signals from a double-contact key switch are received by the two communication circuits, and safety-related signals are transmitted from the communication circuits to a numerical controller through a bus. The signals received by the numerical controller are compared with each other so that they can be made to comply with the safety standards by monitoring the integrity of the safety function.
