Abstract:
A receiving apparatus for an RFID reader estimates channel coefficients for each of a plurality of receiving antennas based on tag response signals received via a plurality of receiving antennas, compensates the tag response signals received via the plurality of receiving antennas based on the channel coefficients estimated for each of a plurality of channel estimators, combines the compensated tag response signals for each of the plurality of receiving antennas to generate a combined signal, and detect bits in the combined signal.
Abstract:
An omnidirectional antenna is provided. The omnidirectional antenna includes a spiral antenna including a substrate, at least one upper antenna pattern formed on the substrate, and at least one lower antenna pattern formed under the substrate and connected to the upper antenna pattern; and a monopole antenna that supports the spiral antenna and that is connected to the spiral antenna. Therefore, by forming an omnidirectional antenna in a spiral antenna having an upper antenna pattern and a lower antenna pattern at an upper surface and a lower surface, respectively, of a substrate, three-dimensional current flow is available and thus omnidirectional radiation characteristics may be exhibited.
Abstract:
An extended Pulse-Interval Encoding (PIE) modulating method in a Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) system, wherein the method modulates 2-bit transmitted data and comprises: adjusting a length of a symbol according to a value of the first bit of the transmitted data; and adjusting a length of an energy transfer waiting section according to a value of the second bit of the transmitted data.
Abstract:
In a wireless sensor network, it is determined whether to multiplex a packet that is generated in a random node. When a packet is to be multiplexed, by multiplexing at least one packet, a frame of a first length is generated and transmitted. The frame of the first length includes a payload in which at least one of data portions including a header unit and a data unit having a second length smaller than the first length is multiplexed.
Abstract:
An apparatus for wireless identification receives position information on recognition objects searched by a radar from the radar and identifies recognition objects within a communication area of antennas using signals responding to wireless frequency signals which are transmitted while changing beam directions of the antennas, for the recognition objects searched by the radar.
Abstract:
A thing device based on a thing searching browser and a mashup method between the thing devices. The smart device according to an exemplary embodiment may include a thing searching browser to search and register a thing; a communications entity manager to provide, through the thing searching browser, an Open Application Programming Interface (Open API) that supports the thing to be searched and connected, and generate a communications entity and a communications entity profile based on the searched thing; and an entity communications channel manager to set a communications channel between the searched thing and the communications entity and transmit and receive data.
