摘要： A dampening cylinder is provided. The dampening cylinder includes a cylindrical housing defining a cavity for receiving a fluid therein. A piston slidably extends through the cavity in the housing and includes a flange projecting radially therefrom. The flange is positioned within the cavity so as to divide the cavity in the housing into first and second portions. First and second flow control valves control the rate of flow of fluid between the first and second portions of the cavity in the housing, and hence, the rate at which the piston slides through the housing. An emergency stop valve is positioned in fluid communication with the fluid flowing between the first and second portions of the cavity in the housing. The stop valve is movable between a first open position for allowing the flow of fluid between the first and second portions of the cavity in the housing and a closed position for preventing the flow of fluid between the first and second portions of the cavity in the housing.

摘要： A transfer mechanism is provided for transferring a load between an upper conveyor extending along a first axis and a lower conveyor extending along a second axis, vertically displaced from the first axis. The transfer mechanism includes first and second spaced, generally parallel rails having first ends pivotably mounted to the upper conveyor and opposite second ends. The rails are movable between a first position wherein the rails are generally co-planar with the upper conveyor and a second position wherein the rails extend from the upper conveyor at a predetermined angle. A transfer conveyor has a first end pivotably mounted to the second ends of the rails and a second opposite end. The transfer conveyor is movable between a first position wherein the transfer conveyor is generally co-planar with the rails and a second position wherein the transfer conveyor is at a predetermined angle to the rails such that the transfer conveyor is co-planar with the lower conveyor when the rails and the transfer conveyor are in the second positions.

摘要： A conveyor system is provided for controlling the flow of a plurality of containers therealong. The conveyor system includes a conveyor having first and second opposite ends and an upwardly facing surface for slidably receiving the plurality of containers thereon. A flip-flop assembly has first and second opposite ends and is pivotably mounted to the conveyor. The flip-flop assembly is movable between a first stopping position wherein the first end of the flip-flop assembly extends from the upwardly facing surface of the conveyor so as to prevent flow of the plurality of containers therepast and a second position allowing the flow of the plurality of containers therepast.

摘要： A method and apparatus for joining at least one daughter cart to a mother cart utilize a coupling system having first and second coupling rails attached to one of the mother and daughter cart frames, and a third coupling rail attached to the other of the mother and daughter cart frames. The coupling rails all extend in a parallel manner to one another in a direction generally perpendicular to a primary transport direction and parallel the underlying surface, when engaged for conveying the daughter cart with the mother cart. The third coupling rail is retained in a channel between the first and second coupling rails, in such a manner that the daughter cart is coupled to and moves with the mother cart as the mother cart is moved in the primary transport direction while the third coupling rail is positioned in the channel between the first and second coupling rails.

The storage container includes a generally flat base having at least first and second support posts extending from corresponding corners of the base. A removable panel is receivable between the first and second support posts and a first pin element projects laterally from a first side of the panel. A plate is positioned adjacent the first support post and includes a recess therein for receiving the first pin element therethrough. The recess is partially defined by an upper edge at a predetermined angle to the axis of the first support post for limiting vertical movement of the first pin element received in the recess.
