The invention relates to a tempering apparatus for tempering a sample comprising: at least one tempering block configured for receiving at least one sample, at least one tempering device arranged for tempering the tempering block, at least one temperature measurement device assigned to the tempering device, at least one control loop to which the tempering device and temperature measurement device are assigned to, at least one control device configured for control of the tempering of the tempering block, wherein the tempering apparatus comprises at least two temperature measurement devices assigned to the control loop, and that to the tempering apparatus a testing device for performing a test method is assigned to, wherein the testing device comprises a signal-connection to at least one of the at least two temperature measurement devices, such that at least one testing quantity of the tempering apparatus is detectable, which characterizes the operational status of the tempering apparatus.

The invention relates to a program-controlled laboratory machine and to a method for the automatic program-controlled treatment of laboratory samples. The laboratory machine has a display having a first display area, via which program parameters that are required by the user are input, and has a second display area in which these input program parameters are shown. The performance of the treatment is effected automatically using the program parameters that are required by the user.

The invention relates to a laboratory apparatus, and a method, for device-controlled handling of at least one laboratory sample, wherein the laboratory apparatus comprises at least one handling device, wherein the handling is controlled by the laboratory apparatus in use of several program parameters, a control device, a user interface device for manually inputting data by an user, and for the display of information, which may in particular depend on these data, wherein the user interface device comprises a display, on which a display area can be represented, and wherein the user interface device comprises a movement detecting sensor device, which is arranged for the detection of at least one user movement, which can be performed on the display area by an user, and wherein the control device is arranged for the provision of a movement detecting input mode, in order to•select the at least one program parameter and/or define its value depending on the at least one user movement, and•display at least one graphical sketch element, which represents the at least one user movement, in the display area, depending on the at least one user movement.
