    Abstract: Provided is a communication method and apparatus using network slicing. A communication method of a communication apparatus performing communication with a user equipment receives a predetermined request from the user equipment, selects a single network slice instance to be allocated to the user equipment from among a plurality of network slice instances in the communication apparatus in response to the request, selects a single network function instance to be allocated to the user equipment from among a plurality of network function instances included in the selected network slice instance. The network slice instance is in an instantiated form of a network slice that includes at least one network function and resource for providing a network service having a predetermined capability and characteristic to the user equipment.

    Abstract: Provided is a service request method performed by an SMF device, including receiving, by an AMF device, an N2 message including a service request message from an access network, and receiving an Nsmf_PDUSession_UpdateSMContext request message including a PDU session ID and location information and an access type of a UE from the AMF device; verifying selection criteria of a UPF device based on the received location information of the UE and determining whether to use a new UPF device or an old UPF device; and sending an Nsmf_PDUSession_UpdateSMContext response message including information on a PDU session ID with the new UPF device or the old PUF device based on the determining. The access network is configured to receive, from the AMF device, an N2 request message including an MM NAS service accept and the access network is configured to perform a service through an RRC connection reconfiguration with the UE.

    Abstract: Provided is a network triggered service request method performed by an access and mobility management function (AMF) device, the method including receiving a Namf_Communication_N1N2MessageTransfer message from a session management function (SMF) device that receives a data notification message indicating that a user plane function (UPF) device receives downlink data for a protocol data unit (PDU) session and no access network tunnel information is stored for the PDU session; and sending, to an access network, a paging message for a PDU session between the AMF device and a user equipment (UE) based on a PDU session identifier (ID) included in the Namf_Communication_N1N2MessageTransfer message. The UE receiving the paging message from the access network is configured to initiate a service request procedure according to a connection management state of the UE.

    Abstract: Provided are a method of transmitting an Internet Packet version 6 (IPv6) packet over near field communication (NFC) and a device for performing the method. The method of transmitting an IPv6 packet over NFC includes receiving the IPv6 packet through a Logical Link Control Protocol (LLCP), and transmitting the IPv6 packet to an Information Field in Protocol Data Unit (I PDU) of the LLCP, and transmitting the IPv6 packet through an adaptation layer for IPv6 over NFC, wherein the maximum number of octets in the I PDU is determined based on a Maximum Transfer Unit (MTU).
