Abstract:
Disclosed is an operating method of each entity in a coexistence management system that manages a plurality of frequency sharing devices. To perform operations of respective entities (a coexistence enabler (CE), a coexistence manager (CM), and a coexistence discovery and information server (CDIS)), a state machine of the entities is defined as inactive, active, waiting engagement, engaged, request-sent, and request-received states.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for improving the efficiency of sharing a frequency between a plurality of adjacent systems using an idle band. A method for allocating an operating channel priority between frequency sharing systems according to the present invention includes: a coarse channel priority allocating operation of collecting information about a target white space object (WSO) for priority allocation of an operating channel and information about the operating channel, and classifying the operating channel based on a predetermined criterion; and a fine channel priority allocating operation of removing the operating channel by checking an interference level of the classified operating channel.
Abstract:
Provided is a method of calculating a fairness index that is a criterion indicating fairness of resource allocation between coexistence managers in a coexistence management system, the method including: calculating a normalized resource allocation amount by normalizing an amount of resources allocated to a corresponding coexistence manager to an amount of resources required by the corresponding coexistence manager with respect to each of the coexistence managers; and calculating the fairness index using the normalized resource allocation amounts calculated with respect to the respective coexistence managers.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a communication method using interference alignment in a wireless local area network (WLAN). An access point (AP) according to one embodiment may receive first channel information between a station associated with the AP and the AP and second channel information between the station and a neighboring AP to perform interference alignment in cooperation with the AP from the station, and perform interference alignment based on the first channel information and the second channel information.
Abstract:
Provided are a frame transmission method performed in an access point (AP), a frame reception method performed in a terminal, and an AP. The frame transmission method performed in an AP includes acquiring a channel for transmitting a first data unit of a first terminal, when a data unit to be transmitted to at least one terminal other than the first terminal is in the AP, generating a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) including the first data unit and the data unit to be transmitted to the at least one terminal, and transmitting the PPDU to the first terminal and the at least one terminal. Accordingly, it is possible to improve the performance of a wireless local area network (WLAN).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a system for discovering an adjacent access point between multi-band wireless LAN access points, and to a method and a system for discovering an adjacent neighboring access point between access points in order to solve an interference problem between the access points in a wireless LAN using multi-bands.

Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for avoiding interference in a wireless local area network system and an apparatus for performing the same. The method for avoiding interference by an access point in a wireless local area network system, includes receiving channel scan results from a station associated with the access point; setting connection with an adjacent access point based on the channel scan results; determining an access point to be associated with the station through negotiation with the adjacent access point; and transmitting a reassociation request message to request reassociation with the adjacent access point to the station when the negotiation with the adjacent access point succeeds.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for avoiding signal interference between access points (APs) in a non-license band, and more particularly, an interference avoidance apparatus and method between access points (APs) that avoid interference based on whether an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) is present, whether an overlapping operation channel between adjacent APs is used, whether it is possible to select a non-overlapping operation channel between adjacent APs, and the like.
Abstract:
Provided are a coexistence management system for measuring channel information between spectrum sharing devices and a method thereof. The coexistence management system for measuring channel information between spectrum sharing devices according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a plurality of coexistence enablers (CEs) which is provided for each of the plurality of white space objects (WSOs) having at least one measurement capability of measuring channel information on an operation channel that is being used; a coexistence manager (CM) which is linked with at least one CE within a group to confirm measurement capability of a corresponding WSO and receives channel information on the operation channel from one or more WSOs within another neighboring groups according to the confirmed result; and a coexistence discovery and information server (CDIS) which registers at least one measurement capability for each of the plurality of WSOs.
