    摘要: Different filtered-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (f-OFDM) frame formats may be used to achieve the spectrum flexibility. F-OFDM waveforms are generated by applying a pulse shaping digital filter to an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) signal. Different frame formats may be used to carry different traffic types as well as to adapt to characteristics of the channel, transmitter, receiver, or serving cell. The different frame formats may utilize different sub-carrier (SC) spacings and/or cyclic prefix (CP) lengths. In some embodiments, the different frame formats also utilize different symbol durations and/or transmission time interval (TTI) lengths.

    摘要: In accordance with one or more embodiments, a transmission device operates by: generating a transmit signal conveying transmit data in accordance with an HARQ protocol; converting the transmit signal to transmitted guided electromagnetic waves that propagate along a surface of a transmission medium; converting to a receive signal received guided electromagnetic waves that propagate along the surface of the transmission medium; generating, based on the receive signal, corona discharge data that indicates a corona discharge in proximity to the transmission medium during a first time period; identifying, responsive to the corona discharge data, a first packet of the transmit signal that was converted to transmitted guided electromagnetic waves during the first time period; and regenerating the transmit signal to include the first packet for retransmission via the transmitted guided electromagnetic waves, without waiting for a repeat request to be received from the remote device indicating the first packet.

    摘要: A first communication device in a wireless local area network (WLAN) selects an aggregate communication channel from a first set of one or more allowed non-overlapping aggregate communication channels that is wholly within a first radio frequency (RF) sub-band that is adjacent in frequency to a second RF sub-band. The second RF sub-band includes a second set of one or more allowed non-overlapping aggregate communication channels that is wholly within the second RF sub-band and that is separated in frequency from the first set of allowed aggregate communication channels by a gap in frequency. The gap in frequency is smaller than a cumulative bandwidth of two component communication channels in the first RF sub-band. The method also includes: using, at the first communication device, the selected aggregate communication channel to transmit a packet to one or more second communication devices in the WLAN.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a signal processing method, including: dividing a frequency band used to send a downlink synchronization symbol into at least two parts of frequency bands that do not overlap, where the two parts of frequency bands are a first frequency band and a second frequency band; alternately allocating frequencies in the first frequency band to a probe tone and a flag tone; and allocating all frequencies in the second frequency band to a probe tone; and modulating a downlink pilot sequence to probe tones in the first frequency band and the second frequency band, and sending the downlink pilot sequence to a peer device. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a signal processing apparatus and a network system.
