摘要: Methods and compositions for biofilm remediation are disclosed. Biofilm is reduced and removed from soiled surfaces by providing to a surface in need an effective amount of a composition comprising a biocidal surfactant and at least one organic solvent. According to the invention, the biofilm remediation compositions reduce and remove biofilm formation by administering a one-step cleaner and disinfectant. The biofilm remediation compositions are stable and effective in concentrated and diluted ready-to-use formulations comprising an anionic sulfated or sulfonated surfactant that is not an organocarboxylic acid, a sparingly soluble organic solvent and optionally a soluble organic solvent.

In particular, peroxyformic acid compositions are generated in situ or on site generation for the reduction and prevention, of biofilms and the mitigation of mineral buildup on the membranes. The compositions according to the invention are compatible with the membranes under application of use conditions.

摘要: Self-indicating chemistries are provided for visual detection by a user of efficacious levels of peroxycarboxylic acid concentrations in a solution produced in situ. The self-indicating chemistries include a combination of dyes providing a visual color indication, such as a tri-color indicator system, such as a yellow, green, and red color system indicating in situ threshold levels of peroxycarboxylic acid concentrations in a solution employing the self-indicating chemistry. Systems, kits and compositions for a quantitative assessment of an in situ perhydrolysis reaction to generate peroxycarboxylic acids are provided. Methods of use are further provided.

摘要: A disinfectant wipe is provided including a substrate that is substantially free of polyamides, and an acid anionic disinfectant is adsorbed to the substrate such that the disinfectant readily releases from the substrate to allow at least 65% delivery of the disinfectant when wiped on a surface. The substrate may be a woven, nonwoven, knit fabric, a foam, sponge or film composition and may be formed from polyester, polypropylene, nylon, cotton, rayon, acrylic, or combinations thereof. The acid anionic disinfectant has a pH below 7, below 5, below 3 and below 2. The substrate used to prepare the disinfectant wipe is not pretreated with the disinfectant or a release composition before applying the disinfectant. That is, the disinfectant is not applied and re-applied to ensure release onto a surface. In an embodiment of the invention acid anionic disinfectant is an antimicrobial agent.
