摘要: A thermally bonded filtration media that can be used in high temperature conditions in the absence of any loss of fiber through thermal effects or mechanical impact on the fiber components is disclosed. The filter media can be manufactured and used in a filter unit or structure, can be placed in a stream of removable fluid, and can remove a particulate load from the mobile stream at an increased temperature range. The combination of bi-component fiber, other filter media fiber, and other filtration additives provides an improved filtration media having unique properties in high temperature, high performance applications.

摘要: An air filtration media pack is provided having a plurality of layers of single facer media. The layer of single facer media includes a fluted sheet, a facing sheet, and a plurality of flutes extending between the fluted sheet and the facing sheet and having a flute length extending from a first face of the filtration media pack to a second face of the filtration media pack. A first portion of the plurality of flutes are closed to unfiltered air flowing into the first portion of the plurality of flutes, and a second portion of the plurality of flutes are closed to unfiltered air from flowing out of the second portion of the plurality of flutes so that air passing into one of the first face and the second face of the media pack and out the other of the first face and the second face of the media pack passes through media to provide filtration of the air. The fluted sheet includes repeating internal peaks facing toward the facing sheet and repeating external peaks facing away from the facing sheet. In addition, the fluted sheet can include at least one ridge extending along at least 50% of the flute length between an internal peak and an adjacent external peak. Additional characterizations of an air filtration media pack, air filtration media, and methods of making and using are provided.

摘要: Thermoplastic bicomponent binder fiber can be combined with other media, fibers and other filtration components to form a thermally bonded filtration media. The filtration media can be used in filter units. Such filter units can be placed in the stream of a mobile fluid and can remove a particulate load from the mobile stream. The unique combination of media fiber, bicomponent binder fiber and other filtration additives and components provide a filtration media having unique properties in filtration applications.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to filter media having a downstream layer of filter material and an upstream layer of fibers. The downstream layer of filter material has a capture efficiency of at least 10% and the upstream layer of fibers has a mean fiber diameter of at least 10 microns and a solidity of less than 10%. A spacing structure defines a mean void distance between the upstream layer of fibers and the downstream layer of filter material.

摘要: Disclosed are filter media packs having a single layer of a high loft filter media and a single layer of a low loft filter media, the filter media pack characterized by the absence of oil added to the filter media pack, the filter media pack capable of filtering air laden particulates from an air stream at greater than 94% efficiency at air stream flow rates of between about 100 feet per minute and 3000 feet per minute. Also disclosed are filter assemblies formed from the filter media pack, and methods of using the filter assemblies.
