摘要: The current technology relates to filter media configurations where the filter media has a surface with a treatment that increases the roll off angle of the surface for a 50 μL water droplet when the surface is immersed in toluene. Some example filter media have a fluted configuration, and some example filter media have multiple layers. Filter media having multiple layers can be single facer media, for example, where one layer is planar and another layer is fluted.

摘要: A rupture disk system has a housing defining a central axis, a first axial end defining an axial opening and a second axial end. An airflow pathway extends from the first axial end facing towards the second axial end. A sealing surface is defined about the airflow pathway towards the first axial end. A shield extends across the airflow pathway on the second axial end. Radial openings are defined around the central axis, where the radial openings are positioned between the first and the second axial ends, such that the airflow pathway extends from the axial opening to the radial openings. A rupture disk is coupled to the housing across the airflow pathway. The rupture disk has a polymeric layer. The rupture disk has an unweakened region having a first thickness and a weakened region having a second thickness. A threshold rupture pressure is defined by the weakened region.

摘要: A vent assembly has a vent housing having a first axial end, a second axial end, and an airflow pathway extending between the first axial end and the second axial end. An environmental opening is towards the second axial end configured for fluid communication between an outside environment and an airflow pathway. An enclosure opening is configured to selectively define a fluid flow pathway between an interior of an enclosure and the airflow pathway. The vent assembly has an obstruction having a first relative position and a second relative position. The obstruction is configured to obstruct the fluid flow pathway in the first relative position and unobstruct the fluid flow pathway in the second relative position. Filter media is disposed in the vent housing laterally across the airflow pathway.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to filter media having a downstream layer of filter material and an upstream layer of fibers. The downstream layer of filter material has a capture efficiency of at least 10% and the upstream layer of fibers has a mean fiber diameter of at least 10 microns and a solidity of less than 10%. A spacing structure defines a mean void distance between the upstream layer of fibers and the downstream layer of filter material.

摘要: The current technology relates to various filter elements configurations where a substrate layer defines a surface having a treatment. The treatment increases a roll off angle of the surface for a 50 water droplet when the surface is immersed in toluene. The filter element can have a housing and the substrate disposed in the housing. In some embodiments the substrate layer defines a plurality of pleats extending between pleat folds that form flow faces of the media. In some embodiments the substrate is incorporated into single facer media of a filter element. In some embodiments the substrate layer is incorporated in a filter element having a flow-by configuration. In some embodiments the substrate layer is incorporated in a filter element having a cross-flow configuration. Some embodiments relate to a vent. Some embodiments relate to a barrier assembly and/or a fuel filter element. Various other filter elements are described.

摘要: A filter material for use in fuel-water separation has a particle filtration layer and a coalescing layer downstream of, and coupled to, the particle filtration layer. The particle filtration layer is substantially constructed of binder fibers and media fibers. The coalescing layer has at least 70% glass fibers by weight. As another example, a filter material for liquid fuels has a particle filtration layer and a coalescing layer downstream of the particle filtration layer. The particle filtration layer has binder fibers and media fibers and is substantially free of meltblown materials. The ratio of air permeability of the particle filtration layer to air permeability of the coalescing layer ranges from about 3:1 to about 15:1.

摘要: The technology disclosed herein relates to, at least in part, an enclosure vent assembly. A vent body defines a vent cavity, a first axial end, a second axial end, circumferential threads positioned towards the second axial end, and a sealing surface. The sealing surface surrounds the vent cavity and faces the second axial end. A vent is disposed in the vent body, wherein the vent extends across the vent cavity. A vent mount defines a mount opening, mating threads configured to releasably engage the circumferential threads, a facing surface about the mount opening configured to oppose the sealing surface, and a fastening feature. The fastening feature is configured to rotatably fix the vent mount to a housing.
