摘要: A disclosed information handling system is coupled to a power adapter that is coupled to an AC line power source. The system includes an embedded controller storing instructions executable to determine that a trigger condition for limiting electrical power drawn by the system from the power adapter is met and, in response to the determination and in accordance with a low power operating mode, to limit electrical power drawn from the power adapter by the system to an amount less than or equal to the lesser of a power rating of the power adapter and a capacity of the AC line power source to supply electrical power. Limiting the electrical power drawn from the power adapter may include limiting the electrical power consumed by operation of the system or limiting a rate at which an internal battery of the system is charged by electrical power supplied by the power adapter.

摘要: In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, methods, and/or processes may: charge a battery from a first end of discharge (EOD) voltage to a first voltage; discharge the battery to a second EOD voltage; in response to discharging the battery to the second EOD voltage, withhold power from one or more cells of the battery to at least one component of a system; charge, from the second EOD voltage to a second voltage, greater than the second voltage and less than the first voltage; discharge the battery to a third EOD voltage; in response to discharging the battery to the third EOD voltage, withhold power from the one or more cells to the at least one component; charge, from the third EOD voltage to a third voltage, greater than or equal to the second EOD voltage; and discharge the battery to the first EOD voltage.

摘要: In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, one or more methods, and/or one or more processes may determine first multiple impedance values of respective multiple resistors associated with a barrier of an enclosure of a cell of a rechargeable battery that includes multiple cells; determine second multiple impedance values of the respective multiple resistors; determine multiple impedance value changes of the respective multiple resistors based at least on the first multiple impedance values and the second multiple impedance values; determine that at least a portion of the multiple impedance value changes exceed a threshold impedance value change; determine that the cell is compromised based at least on determining that the at least the portion of the multiple impedance value changes exceed the threshold impedance value change; and in response to determining that the cell is compromised, remove the cell from a topology of the rechargeable battery.

摘要: In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, one or more methods, and/or one or more processes may convert first analog signals to first digital values, in which the first analog signals are proportional to current of a battery of an information handling system (IHS); convert the second analog signals to second digital values, in which the second analog signals are proportional to current from a power supply; convert the third analog signals to third digital values, in which the third analog signals are proportional to power consumption of components of the IHS and the battery; and provide a first mean digital value determined from the first digital values, a second mean value determined from the second digital values, and a third mean digital value determined from the third digital values to at least one of IHS firmware, an application, and an operating system.
