    摘要: The visual condition of a patient is monitored by defining a an authorized patient zone, placing a video camera in a location to capture a visual image of the patient zone, defining a base visual image of the patient zone, monitoring the visual image at a remote location, identifying any change in the captured image from the base visual image, and generating an alert in the event a change is detected. Certain changes in the zone may occur without generating an alert. Authorized personnel may enter and leave the zone without generating an alert. In a typical application the system for practicing the method is networked based for providing medical appliance data directly to key personnel at a standard computer station. The system also includes video monitoring in real-time or near real-time, providing visual as well as technical monitoring of the patient wherever he is located. In one aspect of the invention, the system is IP based, permitting access to the information anywhere on the World Wide Web.

    摘要: A personal alarm system can be worn or carried by the user, may be activated at any time by the user and/or may be automatically activated to send a signal to any remote monitoring station on the network. The device identifies the user as well as the user's location within the monitored area. The alarm-sending unit is designed to fit within a box the size of a small cell phone or pager. The unit includes an ID memory for identifying the user, is programmable and has an on-board processor for generating a signal to a wireless transmitter for sending the signal to a to a local receiver for inputting the signal onto the network. A centralized, networked RF receiver is used with the personal alarm unit and one or more of these RF receivers may be installed in order to provided adequate coverage of the monitored area. The signals generated by the personal alarm are received by the RF receiver(s) and decoded, whereupon the system processor assembles a message, packetizes it as necessary, and sends it to one or more monitoring stations via the intervening network and network interface. The signals may be digitized where desired. A beacon generator may be used to identify location of the portable unit. The system may also employ a GPS generator to identify location.

The system is a comprehensive multi-media safety, tracking and/or surveillance system, which provides both visual and/or audio information as well as critical data such as location, direction, intrusion, fire and/or smoke detection and/or status of environmental conditions and/or asset systems status. The collected information is analyzed and prioritized according to type of event, location and nature of required response for automatically dispatching the proper response. The captured data and images are transmitted to a ground based security station for display on a monitor and may be recorded on a “black box” recorder as well as on a ground based recording system.

    摘要: An acoustic sensor system is provided for detecting failures or terrorist events in commercial aviation and is adapted for assisting in the detection and post event analysis of such events. The system is adapted for use in combination with a comprehensive multi-media safety and surveillance system, utilizing both visual and audio information as well as critical data to the flight crew, and to a ground tracking station, and recording the information and data generated during flight. A plurality of acoustic sensors are strategically and systematically placed about an airframe. The sensors are adapted for communicating with a monitor/recording system and may be hard wired or utilize wireless communications therewith. In the event of a catastrophic event, such as a bomb explosion, a gunshot or structural failure an acoustic event would be recorded for later analysis.

    摘要: Continuous streaming video is conditioned for display at a remote monitor adapted for receiving and playing a streaming video file of a discrete length. The continuous streaming video has no known beginning of data signal and no known end of data signal, and an arbitrary beginning of data signal is assigned to the streaming video in mid-stream and an arbitrary end of data signal is assigned to the streaming video for identifying the length of the video stream and for making it compatible with the display platform. The continuous streaming video may be time stamped, and the beginning of data signal may be arbitrarily assigned a zero value for identifying an artificial beginning of the file. Specifically, the each time stamp received may be calculated by resetting each time stamp received time stamp with a value of the current time stamp minus first time stamp received, whereby the first time stamp received is set to zero and additional time stamps are counted from the first time stamp received. The encoded video signal may be viewed by more than one user, wherein the streaming video signal is sent to a multicast group address for forwarding the stream identified recipients, with a multicast routing technique used for determining that multiple recipients are located on one specific network path or path segment, wherein only one copy of the video signal is sent along that path.

    摘要: A fully digital camera system provides high-resolution still image and streaming video signals via a network to a centralized, server supported security and surveillance system. The digital camera for collects an image from one or more image transducers, compressing the image and sending the compressed digital image signal to a receiving station over a digital network. A plurality of image transducers or sensors may be included in a single camera unit, providing array imaging such as full 360 degree panoramic imaging, universal or spherical imaging and field imaging by stacking or arranging the sensors in an array. The multiple images are then compressed and merged at the camera in the desired format to permit transmission of the least amount of data to accomplish the desired image transmission. The camera also employs, or connects to, a variety of sensors other than the traditional image sensor. Sensors for fire, smoke, sound, glass breakage, motion, panic buttons, and the like, may be embedded in or connected to the camera. Data captured by these sensors may be digitized, compressed, and networked to detect notable conditions. An internal microphone and associated signal processing system may be equipped with suitable signal processing algorithms for the purpose of detecting suitable acoustic events and their location. In addition, the camera is equipped with a pair of externally accessible terminals where an external sensor may be connected. In addition, the camera may be equipped with a short-range receiver that may detect the activation of a wireless ‘panic button’ carried by facility personnel. This ‘panic button’ may employ infrared, radio frequency (RF), ultrasonic, or other suitable methods to activate the camera's receiver.
