Abstract: A fan shroud, in which air flows from a suction port to an outlet port, includes: a bell mouth part having a circular wall, the outlet port being formed by the bell mouth part; and a rectangle part having a proximity wall located adjacent to the circular wall and a distal wall distant from the circular wall than the proximity wall, the suction port being formed by the rectangle part. The proximity wall has a most close area that is most close to the circular wall. The circular wall has an extended wall part extended in an axial direction of a propeller fan than a residual portion of the circular wall. The extended wall part is provided along a rotational direction of the propeller fan from a position opposing the most close area.

Abstract: A blower fan includes a plurality of blades radially extending from a boss provided at a rotary center and spaced apart from each other in the rotational direction, and a ring portion connecting outer peripheral ends of the blades in a ring shape. A radially outer end part at an end on an air-flow upstream side of the ring portion is positioned outward in a radial direction of a rotary shaft in the blower fan, as toward the air-flow upstream side. Thus, the blower can prevent the backflow air from being swirled, thereby reducing noise.

Abstract: A heat exchange module has a restriction protrusion that is provided to protrude between a blade of a cooling fan and a core portion of a heat exchanger and that restricts the blade from approaching the core portion more than a predetermined position. In a state where one side of an outline of a rectangular shaped fan shroud is disposed so as to face an installation surface, the restriction protrusion is provided in a position where the amount of water reaching the cooling fan through the heat exchanger becomes greater than the amount of water at position just below a rotation axis of the cooling fan in a case where at least a portion of the fan shroud is submerged in water.

Abstract: A blower fan includes a plurality of blades radially extending from a boss provided at the rotary center and spaced apart from each other in the rotational direction, and a ring portion connecting outer peripheral ends of the blades in a ring shape. An inner peripheral wall surface of an end part on an air-flow downstream side of a cylindrical portion is disposed on the outside in a radial direction of the rotary shaft in the blower fan, with respect to an end part on the air-flow downstream side of the ring portion. The end part on the air-flow downstream side of the cylindrical portion is positioned outward in the radial direction of the rotary shaft, as toward the air-flow downstream side. Thus, the blower can prevent the backflow air from being swirled, thereby reducing noise.

Abstract: A fan shroud includes a bell mouth portion and a rectangular portion. The bell mouth portion includes a circular wall that defines a discharge port and accommodates a propeller fan. The rectangular portion defines a suction port and includes a close wall close to the circular wall, and a farther wall farther from the circular wall than the close wall is from. The close wall includes a closest portion closest to the circular wall in the close wall, and a pair of connection portions connected to the farther wall. The closest wall is between the pair of connection portions. The fan shroud includes an opening portion extending through the rectangular portion from inside to outside of the rectangular portion. At least one of the pair of connection portions includes the opening portion, and the closest portion does not include the opening portion.

Abstract: An air-blowing device has a blower fan that is an axial fan located on a downstream side of a heat exchanger in an airflow direction and supplies air to the heat exchanger and a shroud that supports the blower fan and forms an air passage extending from the heat exchanger to the blower fan.
