Abstract: The endless reinforcement for a pneumatic tire of the present invention comprises continuous cord forming a generally zigzag pattern and being positioned across the width of the reinforcement from one side to the other at an angle to the edges of the reinforcement with reversals at the edges. Lengths of the cord between the reversals are interleaved with lengths disposed in an opposite direction along at least one line substantially parallel to and intermediate the edges thereof. Also, a method for producing a tire including such reinforcement and the resulting tire.
