摘要: In some examples, a catheter includes an expandable member configured to expand radially outward from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration. The expandable member is configured to be expanded and contracted in a controlled manner, e.g., in response to user actuation or automatically under the control of control circuitry of a device. For example, in some examples, control circuitry of a device can be configured to control the expandable member to expand and contract according to a predetermined expansion frequency or according to an expansion frequency determined based on a cardiac cycle of a patient.

摘要: In some examples, a catheter includes one or more balloons that, when inflated, are configured to be apposition with vasculature or other hollow anatomical structure of a patient to help anchor the catheter within the vasculature, while still permitting fluid to flow past the inflated balloons. When inflated, the one or more balloons define one or more passageways configured to enable fluid to flow past the inflated balloons in a direction along a longitudinal axis of the catheter. For example, the catheter may comprise a plurality of balloons that are circumferentially and longitudinally staggered relative to each other.

摘要: A hub defines a lumen with a longitudinal axis along the length of the hub. An outer surface of a distal portion of the hub tapers inwardly toward the longitudinal axis as the distal portion extends distally. A strain relief includes a proximal portion configured to receive the distal portion of the hub. The strain relief defines a lumen that substantially aligns with the hub lumen when the proximal portion receives the hub. The hub and/or strain relief are configured to be fixedly attached to a catheter body such that a catheter body lumen substantially aligns with the hub lumen and the strain relief lumen when the strain relief receives the distal portion of the hub. Outer surfaces of the strain relief and hub define substantially similar distances to the longitudinal axis along an interface between the two outer surfaces when the strain relief receives the hub.

摘要: A catheter may include an inner liner, at least one support structure over the inner liner, and an outer jacket over the at least one support structure. In some examples, the catheter includes a tip jacket positioned over a distal portion of the outer jacket and extend beyond a distal-most part of the inner liner and a distal-most part of the outer jacket to define a single-layer catheter tip. In some examples, the at least one support structure may include a braid and a coil. The catheter may include a marker band over a distal portion of one of the braid or the coil. The other of the braid or the coil ends proximally of a proximal end of the marker band, such that the catheter includes a location with lower radial and/or flexural stiffness proximal of the marker band.

摘要: Vasculature models and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the model comprises a tube including a lumen extending therethrough, a synthetic thrombus including a magnetic component, and a magnetized member. The thrombus is sized to be positioned within the lumen, and the magnetized member is positioned peripheral to the thrombus such that a radially outward force is exerted on the thrombus via the magnetized member. The tube may be part of a network of tubes that generally resemble human neurovasculature.

摘要: In some examples, an aspiration system a catheter and a fluid flow sensor. The fluid flow sensor includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a flow oscillator. The fluid inlet is configured to receive fluid from the catheter. The flow oscillator configured to oscillate flow of the fluid through the fluid flow sensor to generate flow-induced vibrations. The fluid outlet is configured to discharge the fluid.
