Abstract: A system for controlling a compactor machine can include a first GPS receiver on one side of a screed of a paver machine and a second GPS receiver on a second side of the screed, the first and second GPS receivers configured to communicate location information of the first and second sides of the screed, respectively, to a compactor machine; and a controller configured to receive the location information from screed and define a pass pattern for the compactor machine in view of the location information.

Abstract: A method includes receiving information indicative of a perimeter of a first portion of a work surface, generating, based on the information, a first geofence substantially overlaying the perimeter, and causing a display to display the first geofence. The method also includes receiving a first input indicating an accuracy of the first geofence. The method further includes determining that at least part of the first geofence is less than a threshold distance from a second geofence associated with the work surface. The method also includes generating, based on determining that the at least part of the first geofence is less than the threshold distance from the second geofence, a third geofence associated with the work surface.

Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method may operatively couple machines, each powered, at least in part by an energy accumulator, together to charge one machine using power of another machine. On condition that a first remaining amount of power in a first machine is less a first total amount of power needed to complete a first task and charging of the first machine takes priority over completion of a second task to be completed by a second machine, the second machine can travel to the first machine and charge a first energy accumulator in the first machine.

Abstract: According to one example, a system for control of a movement of a working vehicle within a work area is disclosed. The system can optionally include a steering system configured to direct the movement of the working vehicle, an object detection system, as speed sensor, and a controller. The object detection system can have one or more sensors configured to detect an object within the work area. The speed sensor can be configured to measure a speed of the working vehicle over a surface within the work area. The controller can be communicatively coupled to the steering system, the object detection system and the speed sensor. The controller can be configured to control the speed of the working vehicle based upon a steering angle of the working vehicle.

Abstract: A rotary cutter system for a machine is disclosed. The rotary cutter system includes a drum, a plurality of cutting tools, a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag associated with each of the plurality of cutting tools, an RFID reader, and a controller. The cutting tools are removably coupled to the drum through a plurality of tool holders. Each cutting tool is removably supported in a tool holder. The RFID reader is in wireless communication with each RFID tag of each cutting tool. The controller is in electrical communication with the RFID reader and generates a signal in response to at least one RFID tag being disconnected from the RFID reader corresponding to at least one cutting tool being separated from the tool holder.
