Abstract:
There are provided an ice thermal storage tank having excellent cold water generation efficiency and having a considerably reduced size, and a water cooler having the same. The ice thermal storage tank includes: a tank body accommodating an ice storage liquid cooled according to an ice thermal storage scheme; a cold water generation unit heat-exchanging introduced water with the cooled ice storage liquid to generate cold water; and a circulation unit extracting the ice storage liquid accommodated in the tank body to circulate it within the tank body. The water cooler includes: the thermal storage tank cooling water supplied from the outside; and a water dispensing unit dispensing cooled water from the ice thermal storage tank. Since an ice storage liquid is circulated without using a stirrer, the size of an ice thermal storage tank can be remarkably reduced, and thus, a water cooler is reduced in size.
Abstract:
Provided are apparatus and method for controlling total dissolved solids, and water treatment apparatus including apparatus for controlling total dissolved solids. The total dissolved solid controlling apparatus includes, a filtering unit including a deionizing filter removing dissolved solids from inflow raw water by an input current and, a control unit controlling the input current such that water discharged from the deionizing filter corresponds to target total dissolved solids.
Abstract:
A water treatment apparatus is disclosed. The water treatment apparatus, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise: a filter unit comprising a reverse osmosis filter for supplying purified water filtered from raw water, and residential water which could not be filtered from raw water; a storage unit connected to the filter unit and comprising a storage member in which purified water is stored, then discharged, and a housing within which the storage member is provided, and through which residential water inflows and outflows; and a flow path changing valve connected to the filter unit and the storage unit, and which allows residential water to outflow from the housing as purified water is stored in the storage member, or allows purified water to be discharged from the storage member as residential water inflows into the housing.
Abstract:
There are provided an active regeneration method for a deionization module, and a water treatment apparatus using the same. The water treatment apparatus may include: a power applying unit applying power to the deionization module in order to perform a regeneration process a regeneration parameter measuring unit measuring a regeneration parameter of the deionization module when the power is applied; and a controlling unit terminating the regeneration process, based on the measured regeneration parameter.
Abstract:
A cold-water generating tank is provided for generating cold water by using the ice thermal storage method and a water cooler equipped with same. The cold-water generating tank includes a tank body which houses, on the inside thereof, an ice storage liquid cooled by means of a cooling unit; a cooling tube provided on the inside of the tank body in order to cool the ice storage liquid housed inside the tank body; and a cold-water generating unit which has a heat exchange tube forming a flow pathway where inflowing water becomes cold water through heat exchange with the ice storage liquid, and has an extension member positioned on the outer circumferential surface of the heat exchange tube in order to widen the area of contact with the ice storage liquid.
Abstract:
Provided are water treatment apparatus and method for controlling water treatment apparatus. The water treatment apparatus includes a filtering unit including a deionizing filter removing total dissolved solids contained in inflow water by an application of power, a water output unit outputting water filtered by the filtering unit; and a control unit controlling power that is applied to the deionizing filter to control total dissolved solids (TDS) contained in water filtered by the deionizing filter, or a reduction rate of total dissolved solids by the deionizing filter.
Abstract:
A deionization filter, a water treatment apparatus including the deionization filter, and a method for regenerating the deionization filter are provided. The method includes a raw water total dissolved solids (TDS) measuring process of generating a raw water TDS value by measuring a TDS value of solid matter contained in raw water; an accumulated solids amount calculating process of generating an accumulated solids amount by adding up the amount of solid matter eliminated by the deionization filter removing the solid matter contained in the raw water; and a regenerating process of performing a regeneration operation on the deionization filter when the accumulated solids amount is equal to or greater than a predetermined solids amount limit.
