Abstract: A bearing for a rotating roller or the like in which, for example, the roller is eccentric or provided for eccentric extensions and periodically subjected to stress from the outside, said bearing being provided with at least one bearing point which is located between the ends of the roller and a distance therefrom, and which bearing then supports the roller when stress occurs between its ends. The invention finds particular utility in bearings for rollers of cutting machines such as cross cutters.
