    Abstract: An improved fluid actuated vehicle braking system is disclosed that combines continuous braking action of the vehicle with intermittent braking at the vehicle wheels. Insertion of a fluidic flip-flop between the master cylinder and the wheel cylinders permits alternate application of the front and rear brakes. Depression of the brake pedal results in continuous deceleration of the vehicle since one or the other brake is continuously operated. At the same time, the possibility of the vehicle skidding is minimized by the intermittent braking action at each wheel which prevents ''''locking'''' of any wheel.
