Abstract: A method of processing digital video data comprises continuously capturing digital video data representing image frames. While capturing the digital video data, the digital video data is encoded into a sequence of encoded image frames, the sequence comprising key frames and delta frames, and storing the sequence of encoded image frames. It is then determined that the stored sequence of encoded image frames is to be entropy coded and, as a consequence, entropy coding the sequence of encoded image frames into an entropy coded sequence of image frames and storing the entropy coded sequence of image frames.

Abstract: A device and a method mask an object in a video stream. The camera is arranged in a system including the camera and another device. A location and field of view is known for the device and the camera. Furthermore, the field of view of the device and the camera are non-overlapping. Information indicating that an object is approaching the field of view of the camera is obtained. The obtained information is determined from the device indicating a location and a direction of movement of the object and the known locations and fields of view of the camera and the device. In response to the information, a threshold for detecting objects to be masked in the video stream captured by the camera is reduced. An object to be masked in the video stream is detected using the reduced threshold, and masking of the object in the video stream is inserted.

Abstract: An image processing device, a camera system, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, and methods for encoding two video image frames captured by one of two image sensors, wherein each of the video image frames depicts a respective portion of a scene. A respective overlapping area is identified in each of the video image frames, which overlapping areas both depict a same sub-portion of the scene, and a video image frame of the video image frames is selected. Compression levels are then set for the image frames, wherein respective compression levels are set for pixel blocks in the selected video image frame based on a given principle. Respective compression levels for pixel blocks in the overlapping area in the selected video image frame are selectively set higher or lower than respective compression levels that would have been set based on the given principle. The video image frames are then encoded.

Abstract: Upon detecting an event indicating enabling of security sensitive functionality of an electronic device, a value previously unknown to the electronic device is obtained and the current content of the data storage to a new current content of the data storage is updated according to an updating function based on the current content of the data storage and the value, wherein, without privileged access, the current content of the data storage can only be updated using the updating function. Abstract: A method of generating a segmentation outcome which indicates individual instances of one or more object classes for an image in a sequence of images is disclosed. The method comprises: determining (501) a coherent region of the image; processing (502) the image to determine a tensor representing pixel-specific confidence scores; generating (503) a series of temporary segmentation masks for the coherent region, wherein each temporary segmentation mask is generated by interpreting the tensor with respect to a single object class using a different temporary confidence score threshold; evaluating (504) the series of temporary segmentation masks to determine if an object mask condition is met; depending on the outcome of the evaluation, setting (505) the temporary confidence score threshold as a final confidence score threshold for the pixels of the temporary segmentation mask, or setting (505) a default confidence score threshold as a final confidence score threshold for the coherent region; and generating (506) a final segmentation outcome for the image.
