摘要： A data center rack allocation system allocates rack computer systems to be installed at particular rack positions based at least in part upon correlating infrastructure support requirements of the rack computer systems with infrastructure support capacities associated with the rack position. Such allocation can enable rapid incremental deployment of infrastructure and rack computer systems in a data center with flexibility to allocate various types of rack computer systems, with various support requirements, to available infrastructure. The system can identify infrastructure connections available to provide certain types of support capacity and can associate such connections with various rack positions in data centers. The system can determine the support requirements of a rack computer system in response to a determination that the rack computer system is presently inbound for delivery to a data center. The system can allocate particular infrastructure connections to a rack computer system allocated to a rack position.

摘要： A just-in-time data center cabling infrastructure is installed incrementally and concurrently with incremental changes in computing capacity in a data center. Based at least in part upon a determination to install one or more rack computer systems in a row of rack positions of the data center, a network switch device can be installed in the row, linked with a network zone via fiber optic cable connections, and linked to rack computer systems via patch cable connections. The fiber optic cables and patch cables are installed in the data center concurrently with installation of the rack computer system. A transverse bridge spans over an aisle space between opposite rows and includes console switch devices. The console switch devices, installed concurrently with one or more rack computer systems in the rows, enable remote access to console systems in the rack computer systems.

摘要： A mobile robot for responding to computer system issues travels to and interacts with a specific computer system in a data center based on a command from a central control system. The mobile robot can collect environmental data from a location proximate to a specific computer system, communicatively couple to a specific computer system via engaging a communication connector with an interface of the specific computer system, collect data from a specific computer system via the coupling to the specific computer system, establish a remote communication link between the specific computer system and a remote computer system, and send the collected data to a remote computer system or process the collected data. The mobile robot can manipulate one or more manipulable arms to remove a component part from a specific computer system and install a replacement component part in a specific computer system.
