摘要: Direct-positive photographic silver halide emulsion which contains a dye having a 5,6-dihydropyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinoline ring is disclosed. Said emulsion has a high speed, produces high contrast images, has no color stain with any remaining dye after processing and causes only small depression in the maximum density.

摘要: A high-contrast direct positive prefogged silver halide emulsion free from coror stain, which contains at least one new dimethinecyanine dye wherein the 3-position of a pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridine nucleus is bonded through a dimethine chain to the 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-position of a cyanine hetero ring nucleus, provided that where the bonding is in the 4-position said cyanine nucleus is a quinoline nucleus or a pyridine nucleus and where the bonding is in the 1- or 3-position said cyanine nucleus is an isoquinoline nucleus, said dimethyinecyanine dye being present in an amount sufficient to sensitize said emulsion.

摘要: A direct-positive photographic silver halide emulsion which is spectrally sensitized with a cyanine dye in which the position 2 or 4 of a 1,8-naphthyridine ring is joined through the position 2 of a thiazole ring through a methine linkage is disclosed. Said emulsion has no decreasing tendency of the maximum density and shows no color stain due to the remains of the dye. Photographic elements employing such emulsion are also disclosed.

摘要: A toner is provided. The toner contains a polyester resin. The toner has a glass transition temperature (Tg1st) at first temperature rising of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of from 45° C. to 65° C. The toner includes a component insoluble in tetrahydrofuran (THF) having two glass transition temperatures (Tga1st and Tgb1st) at the first temperature rising of DSC, where Tga1st is in a range of −45° C. to 5° C. and Tgb1st is in a range of 45° C. to 70° C. The toner includes a component soluble in THF having a glass transition temperature (Tg2nd) at second temperature rising of DSC of from 40° C. to 65° C.

摘要: A semiconductor light emitting device includes a first conductivity-type first semiconductor layer, a second conductivity-type second semiconductor layer, a semiconductor light emitting layer, and first and second electrodes. The semiconductor light emitting layer is provided between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer, and includes a multiple quantum well structure. The quantum well structure includes well layers and barrier layers each laminated alternately, each of the well layers being not less than 6 nm and not more than 10 nm. The first and second electrodes are electrically connected to the first and second semiconductor layers such that current flows in a direction substantially vertical to the main surface.
