Abstract: A multi-mode scanning device for scanning an original includes a background element, a first light source, a second light source and an optical module. The first light source outputs visible light to irradiate the background element and the original to generate first light and second light, respectively. The second light source outputs invisible light to irradiate a combination of the background element and the original to generate third light and fourth light, wherein the background element reflects the invisible light. The optical module receives the first to fourth light and generates sensing signals representative of visible light information and invisible light information of the original. The original is disposed between the background element and the optical module. The first light source, the second light source and the optical module are disposed on a same side of the background element.

Abstract: A scanner includes a scanning module, a processor and an output port. The scanning module scans a document to generate a first signal representative of a composite visible light image of the document and a background element, and a second signal representative of a transmitting light image transmitting through the document. The processor generates a first final image file having first pixels and first complementary pixels according to the first signal, and generates a second final image file having second pixels and second complementary pixels according to the second signal. The first pixels are representative of a visible light image of the document. The first complementary pixels are representative of a remaining visible light image other than the document. The second pixels are representative of a transmitting light image of the document. The second complementary pixels are representative of a remaining transmitting light image other than the document. The output port outputs the first and second final image files to an external device.

Abstract: A peripheral includes a scanning module and a control processing module. In a restoration mode, the scanning module performs a one-time scan operation on a punched document to obtain a visible light image and an infrared image. The infrared image includes an infrared hole image corresponding to one hole or multiple holes of the punched document. The visible light image includes a visible light hole image corresponding to one hole or multiple holes of the punched document. In the restoration mode, the control processing module, electrically connected to the scanning module, determines the infrared hole image according to the infrared image, determines the visible light hole image according to the infrared hole image and processes the visible light image into a final image according to the visible light hole image, wherein the final image does not contain the visible light hole image.

Abstract: A scanning device comprises a visible light source, an infrared light source, a visible light sensor and an infrared light sensor. The visible light source provides visible light to a scan section of an original. The original reflects the visible light to generate reflected light. Abstract: Disclosed are a document processing device and a signal transmission method thereof. The document processing device includes a processor and a printing engine. The processor is connected to the printing engine. The processor receives a document output command to generate a first differential signal. Then, the printing engine receives the first differential signal and converts the first differential signal into a first interference-free information packet. When the printing engine has already obtained the first interference-free information packet, the printing engine sends a buffer status checking signal to the processor. The document processing device uses the transmission of the first differential signal to reduce printing information errors caused by static interference, so as to achieve the purpose of improving the accuracy of printing information.
