Abstract: A device in an evolved packet core (EPC) which includes a processor and a memory. The processor effectuates operations including receiving from one or more devices residing within a customer premise equipment (CPE) portion of a telecommunications network, sensor data associated with one or more customers and in response to receiving the sensor data, generating a data request for an ecosystem status for the CPE portion of the telecommunications network. The processor further effectuates operations including obtaining customer information for the one or more customers and creating an analytics environment, using the customer information, for the one or more customers. The processor further effectuates operations including performing, within the analytics environment, analytics on the sensor data to determine a state of the CPE portion of the telecommunications network for the one or more customers and in response to performing analytics on the sensor data, optimizing the telecommunications network.

Abstract: Generating a core instance via a first access network device of a first access network, wherein the core instance facilitates operation of a second access network via a second access network device of the second access network is disclosed. Generally, implementing a core network can be highly resource intensive, e.g., high labor, equipment, and monetary costs. The level of resources that are conventionally committed in developing a core instance can be a significant barrier for many small or medium sized entities. The disclosed subject matter discloses a configuration component that can generate a core instance that can be performed at a remotely located access network. In an embodiment, a remotely implemented core instance can be updatable. Further, in response to a remotely implemented core instance failing to perform, a monitoring component can facilitate a failover operation.

Abstract: Containers and container orchestration can be utilized for the creation of an environment that supports virtual network functions (VNFs) representing user plane and/or control plane gateways of 5G networks. Security and/or performance of the 5G network is improved by utilizing blockchain ledgers representing activity associated with the containers. In one aspect, cryptographic blockchain data is appended to a container when the VNF is created and/or modified. The cryptographic blockchain data can create a permanent ledger of activity on the container, which can be utilized to detect malicious attacks and/or unauthorized requests, and/or track activity associated with containers that are utilized to support high performance users and/or services. Further, the cryptographic blockchain data can be utilized for various applications, such as, but not limited to, security, accounting, network performance, governance and risk compliance, etc.

Abstract: A processor may receive a request to authenticate an endpoint device associated with a media streaming session, the media streaming session delivered to the endpoint device via a cellular access network, generate an authentication key, and transmit the authentication key to the endpoint device via a short message service message. The processor may further receive a calculated response from the endpoint device, the calculated response based upon the authentication key and a seed key of the endpoint device, determine whether the calculated response matches an expected response based upon the authentication key and the seed key, and authenticate the endpoint device based upon whether the calculated response matches the expected response.
