Abstract: An electronic device displays a first user interface that corresponds to a first application, and detects on a touch-sensitive surface a first gesture that includes movement of a contact in a respective direction on the touch-sensitive surface. In response to detecting the first gesture, the device, in accordance with a determination that the movement of the contact is in a first direction, replaces display of the first user interface with display of a second user interface that corresponds to a second application; and in accordance with a determination that the movement of the contact is in a second direction, distinct from the first direction, displays a first system user interface for interacting with a system-level function.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a messaging user interface of a messaging application, including a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and another user, a message-input area, and a representation corresponding to the other user. Abstract: An electronic device having a camera, while displaying a live preview for the camera, detects activation of a shutter button at a first time. In response, the electronic device acquires, by the camera, a representative image that represents a first sequence of images, and a plurality of images after acquiring the representative image, and also displays an indication in the live preview that the camera is capturing images for the first sequence of images. The electronic device groups images acquired by the camera in temporal proximity to the activation of the shutter button at the first time into the first sequence of images, such that the first sequence of images includes a plurality of images acquired by the camera prior to detecting activation of the shutter button at the first time, the representative image, and the plurality of images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image.

Abstract: An electronic device displays a messaging user interface of a message application, including a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user, a message-input area, the conversation transcript including a plurality of messages and a plurality of message regions, each message region containing a respective message of the plurality of messages. In response to a first input corresponding to a first respective message in the conversation transcript, displaying an indication that the first respective message has been selected.
