摘要： This invention relates to topical cosmetic preparations. More particularly, this invention relates to a topical cosmetic preparation for the treatment of oily hair and seborrheic skin which comprises an effective amount of at least one compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3, any of which may be the same or different, each represent hydrogen, hydroxyl, or --OR.sub.4, where R.sub.4 is an alkyl of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted benzyl, or two of the groups R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 represent methylenedioxy; X is a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene of from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; and Y is --COOH, --CN, --CONR.sub.5 R.sub.6, or --COOR.sub.7, where R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each represent hydrogen, alkyl of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or substituted or unsubstituted aryl, or aralkyl, or together with the nitrogen atom R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 represent a heterocycle, and R.sub.7 is an alkyl of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl.

摘要： The invention relates to lipid soluble, water insoluble cosmetic or dermatological active substances which can be included in body cleansing agents in the form of an aqueous preparation with at least 5 wt. % water soluble ionic or non-ionic surfactant content by solubilization of the active substances with a polar lipid in lipid-surfactant mixed micelles or liquid crystals or by microemulsification with a nonpolar lipid, wherein the emulsion particles have a diameter which is less than 500 nm. Said agents are also characterized by enhanced skin penetration by the active substances.

摘要： An improved resorbable body and tissue compatible wax useful for the mechanical coagulation of blood on bones is produced by the reaction of, for example, lactic or glycolic acids with glycerol. The reaction mixture is then purified by forming a solvent suspension and washing with isopropanol to produce a purified wax essentially free of the hydroxycarboxic acid impurity, say, less than 0.1%.
