    摘要： A system for stabilizing articles is provided. The system is particularly well-suited for stabilizing plastic grocery bags during transport in a vehicle. The system comprises a stabilizing element that, when in use, extends from a first point to a second point and passes through the handles of a bag to be stabilized. Preferably, the first and second points are fixed, either detachably or semi-permanently, on the sidewalls in the interior of a vehicle. Further, the stabilizing element preferably is flexible. In addition, the stabilizing element preferably can be disconnected from the second point and also preferably, the stabilizing element can recoil into a location at the first point so that only a portion of the stabilizing element is visible. Other preferred embodiments of the present invention, including those with intermediary fixtures or intermediary support features, as well as those with multiple stabilizing elements, also are disclosed. In addition to stabilization during travel, the stabilizing system provides a certain degree of freedom in allowing a bag to move with the inertial forces imposed on it during travel. Also, the stabilizing system provides a convenient, easy and simple method for loading bags into and unloading bags from a vehicle, thereby requiring very little time and effort to utilize.

    摘要： A variable bandwidth tunable directional filter to directionally route a broadband signal between an input and an output microwave transmission line for controlling and processing signals in data handling systems. The transmission lines are waveguides directionally coupled to a ring resonator having frequency response characteristics at resonance of a band-pass filter. The ring resonator directionally coupled to transmission lines is capable of resonating with waves progressing unidirectionally. Tuning to resonance is achieved by adjusting the guided wave in the ring by the insertion into the ring of flat dielectric material which also provides for a broadband impedance match of the coupled circuits. Broadening of the filter bandwidth is achieved by additional attenuation in the ring resonator which also decreases the insertion loss due to the coupling of the resonator to the waveguides. Reduced insertion loss provides for a retention of a portion of the signal in the input line which allows for additional coupling of other lines within the same frequency bandwidth.

    摘要： A suspended cup holder comprising a support ring hanging from a plurality of elastic ring suspenders, and a basket suspended from the support ring by a plurality of elastic basket suspenders. The bottom of each ring suspender is attached to the ring, and the top of each ring suspender is attached to a support bracket. The support bracket is configured to attach the cup holder to a bicycle or hand cart. The elastic ring suspenders are any elastic member configured to support the support ring under the load of the beverage container. The support ring is a rigid or semi-rigid ring providing annular suspension support to the basket. The elastic basket suspenders are disposed circumferentially around the support ring and around the top of the basket. The basket is cylindrical in shape, the top being open to removably receive the beverage container, and the bottom having a base to provide vertical support to the beverage container.

    摘要： A launching ramp for boats, float planes and the like has several ramp segments that are in normal use of the ramp, generally aligned and sloping downwardly into a body of water. To enable the easy removal of the ramp from the body of water, the ramp segments are hinged and equipped with stops so that when a cable is connected to the outermost end of the ramp, pulling in on the cable will pivot the outermost end segment upwardly until the stops limit this pivotal movement with respect to the next segment, whereupon the second segment will pivot upwardly to its stop position and so on. As the cable is drawn in, the ramp is rolled up towards the shore. The installation of the ramp is a reverse process of unrolling the ramp into the water. With appropriate modification the ramp may be used as a roll-up dock.
