    摘要: An internally threaded anchor for use in poured concrete floors having a metal deck or a wood form. The threaded anchor provides quick and easy attachment to threaded support rods that carry racks for utilities, piping, or ceiling grid systems. Each threaded anchor is capable of accepting different diameter rods or bolts with different thread cuts. Each anchor accepts the different diameter threaded rods by a single insertion motion, without the need to thread the rod into the anchor. Full insertion is visually verifiable when the marked end of the rod inserted into the anchor is no longer visible. An authentication tag visible upon full insertion indicates that authorized rod is being used.

    摘要: Poured concrete floors and ceilings in buildings contain electrical conduit, air conditioning conduit, plumbing and junction boxes, for example. These conduits must withstand the rigorous activity of a construction floor and the concrete poured on them during the construction phase. Rod support structures made out of steel rod stock are used to hold the conduit and junction boxes in place on a temporary plywood floor in between rebar. The support structures have feet. The poured concrete floor covers the conduit, junction boxes and support structures. The footprint of each of the support structures is designed to be as small as possible by having minimum contact with a temporary plywood floor. When the plywood floor is removed, the support structures are substantially buried in the concrete. The concrete floor is underneath the feet, providing minimum exposure of the feet to the surface of the concrete next to the plywood floor.

The system also includes a display structure model including means for configuring a user interface to a user role, the display structure model being a runtime component for dynamically building control menus for groups of tasks depending on the user role of the logged on user.

    摘要: A driver for securing pre-wired threaded fasteners to the ceiling of a building structure includes a driver head, a pre-wired fastener held by the driver head, and a telescoping pole connected to the driver head. The driver head is a solid, cylindrical rod or shaft having a kerf opening through the top of the shaft and extending axially therefrom, the kerf extending either partially or completely across the diameter of the shaft. The kerf includes a tapered recess opening axially through one sidewall of the shaft. A blind recess shaped to receive the flat head of a threaded fastener also opens through the top of the shaft and intersects the kerf substantially orthogonally. The threaded fastener is pre-wired with a wire which has a closed loop at one end, the loop being off-set from the major lineal direction of the wire. When the head of the threaded fastener is fit into the blind recess, the wrap of the wire is loosely constrained against lateral motion by the tapered recess. A hollow telescoping pole has at least one aperture in a sidewall, the aperture positioned such that the free end of the wire can be inserted into the hollow interiior of the pole to confine the free end against spinning around the pole when the pole is rotated.

    摘要: This invention relates to an impact actuated tool for driving a fastener by an explosive charge, particularly a tool having a housing with a barrel axially slidably mounted within the front end. A nosepiece is fixed to the front of the barrel with a muzzle at its front end for receiving a fastening element that is to be secured in a ceiling or the like. A piston is slidably mounted within the bore in the barrel. The barrel is biased forwardly in the firing direction. At the rear of the tool a handle engages a firing pin which is slidably mounted within the rear end of the bore. The firing pin is biased rearwardly towards the back end of the tool. One embodiment of the tool includes a ball lock safety device to allow discharge only when the muzzle of the tool is pointed in an upward direction. The tool is fired by impacting the nosepiece against a surface to effect displacement of the barrel and firing pin against their respective biasing springs.
