Water from a public or other source is input to the system or apparatus and is filtered internal or external to the system/apparatus. A temperature adjustment may be applied, such as cooling or heating the water to a specific or approximate temperature. One or more water enhancements may be added to the water, in specified amounts or proportions. Enhancements potentially include flavoring agents, sweeteners, vitamins, nutrients, minerals, carbonation, and so on. A given combination of enhancements and corresponding amounts, and possibly other characteristics (e.g., the temperature, a quantity of water to prepare), may be saved as a recipe. The system, apparatus and method operate in association with an application or online service for creating, sharing, and preparing recipes.

    摘要： A refuelable electrochemical battery is provided that features three phases of operation that repeat cyclically. In an intake phase a mixture of electrochemically active particles or pellets (e.g., aluminum pellets) and a suitable electrolyte (e.g., sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide) are fed into a cavity or chamber. In a power phase the resulting electrochemical reaction produces electrical energy. The particles are mechanically combined or collected to form one electrode, while a gas-diffusion membrane permeable by oxygen is another electrode. During the exhaust phase, a piston forces the residue of the reaction from the cavity in order to prepare for the next cycle of operation.

    摘要： A system and method are provided for outsourcing a computer-based task, such as modifying a document (e.g., text, an image), transcribing audio, performing research, translating from one language to another, etc. Outsourceable tasks are designed by service developers and posted on an exchange. Service providers bid on tasks they are qualified for, to indicate they will perform those tasks if paid the bid. Task buyers browse or navigate through the exchange to find what they need, and select a task based on its description, price and/or other factors (e.g., delivery time, language(s)). The exchange receives a task order (i.e., a purchased task), identifies qualified service providers and routes the task, with any required input, to a qualified provider who can complete the task before a deadline. Upon completion, the provider submits the completed task and any required output (e.g., deliverables) to the exchange, which forwards the output to the buyer.

The desired content item or action may be initiated automatically (e.g., opened, performed) simply by touching it, by lifting the gliding finger or by performing some other input (e.g., tapping a node, speaking a command, touching with a second finger).
