Abstract: A linear displacement valve for a vehicle includes a body defining an inlet corridor and an outlet corridor and a seat disposed within the body between the inlet corridor and the outlet corridor. The seat defines an opening configured to fluidly couple the inlet corridor with the outlet corridor. The linear displacement valve further includes a plug movable relative to the seat. The plug includes a perimeter surface configured to abut and seal against the seat to close the opening and a flow guide surface having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of the flow guide surface is disposed between the second portion of the flow guide surface and the perimeter surface. The first portion has a concave curvature, and the second portion has a convex curvature.

Abstract: A throttle control system for a vehicle includes a controller comprising at least one processor and at least one non-transitory computer-readable medium, a throttle valve movable between valve positions, an input sensor to transmit a target position, and a position sensor configured to detect an instantaneous disposition of the throttle valve at one of the valve positions. The controller executes instructions stored in the at least one non-transitory computer-readable medium. The controller receives the target position signal and the detected position signal. The processor compares the target position signal and the detected position signal to the instructions, selects an output signal, and transmits the output signal to the throttle valve. A first fuzzy control acceleration, a brake deceleration, and a second fuzzy control acceleration based on the output signal are applied to move of the throttle valve toward the target position.

Abstract: A pressure vessel may include a body formed of a polymeric material. The body may extend between a first end and a second end. The body may include a center column defining a first inner volume extending between the first end and the second end. A wall may be connected to the center column. The wall may surround the center column and define a second inner volume therebetween. The second inner volume may be disposed annularly around, and fluidly separate from, the first inner volume. The pressure vessel may also include a first end cap coupled to the center column at the first end and second end cap coupled to the center column at the second end. The first end cap may close off the first inner volume at the first end. The second end cap may close off the first inner volume at the second end.
