    摘要： A luminaire includes a fixture to be generally received in a recess of a support surface. A plurality of light engines are disposed within the fixture. The light engines each have at least one light source. A heat flange disposed about a distal end region of said fixture. The heat flange having a hollow, generally frustum shape with a cross-section extending generally radially outwardly beyond said fixture and extending away from said distal end region of said fixture. The hollow shape provides a flange cavity for housing of driver or other components for the light engines.

    摘要： A low-pressure discharge lamp is described having a base housing (10), a discharge vessel (2), whose end sections are fixed to an end section of the base housing, and a contact-making system for making electrical contact with the lamp, which is located on the end section of the base housing (10) which is remote from the discharge vessel, a conductive section (5) being provided, which is electrically connected to the contact-making system and is arranged adjacent to the discharge vessel (2) in the base housing (10) in such a way that an electrical short circuit is formed around the discharge vessel (2). This makes it possible to reduce the starting voltage of the lamp. As an alternative, or in addition, to this, the cross section of the web attachments is increased, which also increases the rate of the luminous-flux run-up.

    摘要： A compact low-pressure discharge lamp (1) includes a discharge vessel (3) with electrodes and power supply leads (7), a discharge vessel mount (5) and a cap (12) which has a housing (13), connecting contacts (14) and a mounting plate (15) with a ballast apparatus (16), with the mounting plate (15) being fitted with the ballast arrangement (16) in the interior of the cap housing (13), and having connections for electrical connection of the mounting plate (15) to the power supply leads (7) and to the connecting contacts (14). The discharge vessel mount (5) has an essentially H-shaped cross section and includes a plate (4) with collars (9, 18) running on the edge of each side of the plate. Both the housing (13) of the cap (12) and the cover part, which is in the form of an enveloping bulb (2), a reflector or a closure cap, are mounted on this H-shaped discharge vessel mount (5).
