摘要: A meter and test wand system is capable of cooperatively processing an analysis fluid and communicating results to a user. The system includes a meter case including a case front, a case back, a case top, a case bottom, a first case side member, and a second case side member. The first and second case side members connect the case front to case back. The first case side member has a longitudinal dimension between said case top and said case bottom and a latitudinal dimension between said case front and said case back. The first case side member includes a first case ridge; A test wand is capable of receiving an analysis fluid, and includes a cartridge including a cartridge ridge. The cartridge ridge is sized and shaped to matingly engage with said first case ridge to connect said test wand to said meter case.

摘要: A self contained disposable test unit for testing body fluid comprises a body member and a support member. The support member is moveable with respect to the body member between a first position and a second position. The support member includes a body part receiving surface for receiving a patient's body part. A lancet is carried by the body member and includes a lancet tip capable of piercing the skin of a patient to produce fluid flow. A test member is capable of interacting with body fluid to aid in the determination of information about body fluid components. A capillary member is capable of directing fluid flow to the test member. A pressure cup is capable of exerting pressure on a body part to foster fluid flow out of a lanced site and into the capillary, and a calibration member is provided for containing information for facilitating calibration of the test unit.

摘要: An analyte testing device is provided for use with a mobile processing device having a camera with a lens, a processor for processing an image captured by the lens. The analyte testing device comprises a casing and a test strip positioner. The test strip positioner positions an analyte containing test strip adjacent to the camera lens to permit the camera to capture an image of the analyte containing test strip. A light source is disposed within the casing. The light source is positioned within the casing to illuminate the analyte containing test strip to facilitate the capture of the image of the test strip. Software is contained within the mobile processing device for performing a quantitative analysis of at least one analyte from the captured image, and providing an output of the results of the quantitative analysis.
