Abstract:
The efficiency of an induction motor is improved while suppressing the generation of magnetic flux saturation of a rotor core. In an induction motor, “a magnetic path width of a rotor” which is the product of a circumferential width of a rotor tooth formed in the rotor and the number of rotor teeth is equal to or larger than “a magnetic path width of a stator” which is the product of a circumferential width of a stator tooth formed in the stator and the number of stator teeth.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus is provided with a line pair identification unit that includes: a binarization portion that binarizes image data generated by a reading unit reading a document; a detection portion that detects, in an image based on the binarized image data, a line screen pattern in a first direction and a line screen pattern in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction; a determination portion that determines the periodicity of the line screen pattern in the first direction; and an identification portion that identifies whether or not a line pair pattern is present in the image data based on the difference in the number between the two line screen patterns as detected by the detection portion and the results of the determination performed by the determination portion.
Abstract:
On receiving FAX image data, an image forming apparatus determines whether or not a security code is superimposed on the image data. If superimposed, the image forming apparatus stored the content of the security code and erases the superimposed security code from the image. Thereafter, the image forming apparatus creates a higher-resolution security code including the same information as that of the stored security code. The FAX image is converted into a higher-resolution image. The higher-resolution security code is superimposed on the FAX image with a higher resolution resulted from the conversion, and the resultant FAX image is printed.

Abstract:
To provide an indication motor rotor capable of improving motor performance by concentrating portions under magnetic saturation conditions of rotor teeth. The rotor of an induction motor of this invention may include slots formed approximately in the shape of a T. The slots may be formed so that top slots are arranged on an outer peripheral portion of a rotor core, and bottom slots are arranged on an inner side of the top slots. The width in the circumferential direction of the top slot is wider than the width in the circumferential direction of the bottom slot, and the width in the circumferential direction of a rotor tooth between adjacent top slots is narrower than the width in the circumferential direction of the rotor tooth between adjacent bottom slots.
Abstract:
An electronic document generation system includes a first layer generation unit that generates a character image layer that represents a character image in the scanned image by a predetermined number of bits, an edge image generation unit that generates an edge image of the character image, a second layer generation unit that generates an antialiasing layer that includes a binarized image generated based on the edge image and that is to be superimposed in a semi-transparent state on the character image layer, a file generation unit that generates the electronic document that includes the character image layer and the antialiasing layer, and a base color determination unit that determines a base color of the character image. The second layer generation unit sets the same color as the base color for the antialiasing layer.
