    摘要: Compositions suitable for use as biodegradable coatings, comprising mixtures of naturally sourced waxes and naturally sourced crosslinkable agents. Compositions may be used to impart water resistance to a substrate, to control the release time of soil nutrients, to reduce environmental damage, and to protect seed or crop damage from high local concentrations of salts. Compositions are preferably prepared as aliphatic alcohol and thereafter may be disposed about an agronomically important substrate core or a fibrous substrate, at temperatures below about 90° C. to impart water resistance or extend the storage time.

    摘要: A tire characteristic monitoring method allows automatic programming of tire position information in a remote tire pressure monitoring system (10). The method includes, from a remotely located exciter (16) using a primary coil (18) to transmit a relatively low frequency signal to a secondary coil (L1) of a tire monitor (12) associated with a tire of a vehicle. The method further includes the step of, at the tire monitor, in response to the relatively low frequency signal, transmitting a relatively high transmitting signal to convey data. The data are received at the exciter and subsequently loaded into a receiving unit (14) of the vehicle.

    摘要: A bone distractor having four bone plate attachment members for affixation to the posterior and anterior maxilla and/or zygomatic buttress and to the posterior and anterior mandible, the attachment members mounted onto a pair of parallel rods, one rod being a threaded drive rod and the other being a releasable guide rod, whereby rotation of the drive rod causes dimensional separation of the anterior attachment members from the posterior attachment members. The guide rod can be quickly removed such the superior attachment members joined to the maxilla and/or zygomatic buttress are physically separated from the inferior attachment members joined to the mandible such that the jaw can be opened.
