摘要： An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, palm region, and at least one digit region having a fingertip region and a remaining portion. A part of a 360° perimeter of the fingertip region is reduced in length relative to the perimeter of the remaining portion of that digit region. The reduced circumference fingertip region is configured to be smaller than the tip of a user's finger or thumb when inserted into the glove. The reduction in the circumference of the fingertip region may include reducing an arcuate length of a pair of opposed sections of the fingertip region. The opposed sections may be sections of the front and rear surfaces of the digit region or opposed sections of the first side surface and second side surface of the digit region.

摘要： A self-contained substance detection kit has a container defining a first compartment and a second compartment. There is a wetting agent in the first compartment. There is at least one substrate in the second compartment. The substrate carries a dye that produces a visible color change upon exposure to an opioid or other amine-containing drug. There is a breakable seal between the first compartment and the second compartment. The breakable seal ruptures in response to applying pressure to the first compartment, wherein when the breakable seal is broken or rupture, an aperture is defined that establishes open fluid communication between the first compartment and the second compartment to allow the wetting agent to flow into the second compartment and wet the at least one substrate.

摘要： A color splash effect is established by a darker backdrop color of an outer surface of a liquid proof and heat resistant glove in the event that a portion of the glove ruptures or fails. The color splash effect is accomplished by a lighter and brighter color being visible through the rupture in the glove. The lighter and brighter color may be formed on or as part of a protective member positioned beneath the outer layer. The protective member also protects the wearer against sharp objects contacting the outer layer of the glove and moving over the protective member. Some embodiments provide that the protective member is in a thumb crotch region of the glove.

摘要： A safety glove having a protective member or insert extending around the fingertip of the safety glove is provided. The protective member may be positioned along the outer surface or the inner surface of the glove. Alternatively, the protective member may be integrally formed between two layers of glove material. The protective member terminates distally from an interphalangeal joint line to enable finger flexion in order to grasp an item, such as a slab of meat to be deskinned in a skinning machine. The glove may include a rough outer surface formed from thrice dipping the glove and allowing the glove to cure. Additionally, the glove may have a width near the wrist that is wider than the width near the palm to enable the glove to be rapidly removed (i.e., doffed) in an emergency event of the glove getting caught in a rotating blade on the skinning machine.

These substances include drugs mixed with opioids such as fentanyl and carfentanil. The fingertip regions on the glove may be of a reduced circumference so as to pull the glove material therein tightly around the tips of a user's fingers and thumb. The reduced circumferences fingertip regions helps the user to detect even a faint pulse in a patient. The glove includes a first color exterior surface and a second color interior surface. The first and second colors contrast with one another and this feature serves as a tear indicator to the user.

摘要： A glove including a wrist region, a palm region, and a plurality of digit regions. A gripping zone is provided on one or both of the palm region and wrist region. The gripping zone includes concave indentations formed in the glove material which project into the glove's interior cavity. The glove's circumference extending through the gripping zone is reduced. When performing a task while wearing the glove, frictional contact between the gripping zone and the person's skin tends to resist movement of the palm or wrist region relative to the person's hand. This helps to keep the digit regions of the glove in sufficient contact with the user's fingers and thumb to maintain tactile sensitivity and dexterity, even when the glove is worn for an extended period of time.

The glove may be fabricated of nitrile rubber that is free of or essentially free of zinc, sulfur and accelerators to reduce allergic reactions in populations required to frequently wear protective gloves. A band region that partially or fully encircles a user's finger knuckles may be provided for easier finger bending. Texturing may be provided on glove surfaces that are used to grip articles. The fingertip regions on the front surface of the index and middle finger regions may be un-textured or smooth to enable a user to take a patient's pulse. These fingertip regions may be of reduced or smaller diameter and circumference so as to pull the glove material tightly around the tips of the user's finger and thereby applying pressure thereto so that even a faint pulse in a patient may be detected.
