摘要: Disclosed is an absorbent article useful for the following purposes without limitation: as a bed pad, a baby changing pad, a bib, a table cloth, or a painter's drop cloth. The absorbent article includes a vapor-permeable liquid-impermeable bottomsheet having an interior surface and an exterior surface, an absorbent structure positioned adjacent the interior surface, and a non-adhesive skid-resistant coating applied to the exterior surface such that the bottomsheet remains vapor-permeable after application of the coating. The non-adhesive skid resistant coating improves the ability of the absorbent article to remain in position without leaving residue on surfaces while leaving the absorbent article breathable.

摘要: The present invention provides a composition comprising a low-molecular weight, amorphous polyalphaolefin layer and a water-sensitive substrate layer. Preferably, the polyalphaolefin comprises either a propylene-ethylene copolymer or an ethylene-butene copolymer. Polyalphaolefin coated water-dispersible films of the present invention may be advantageously employed in the preparation of a wide variety of products designed to be contacted with aqueous fluids. Although the coated water-dispersible film of the present invention is particularly suited for personal care products, the coated water-dispersible film of the present invention may be advantageously employed in the preparation of a wide variety of consumer products other than personal care products. When the entire product is disposed of in water, the water-sensitive layer is wetted and weakens. Since the polyalphaolefin layer is already mechanically weak, hydraulic force from a toilet flow causes the composition to disperse into pieces small enough to flow through the toilet and beyond without clogging the water system.

摘要: A bulk process is provided for making maleimide copolymers. The process involves reacting a monomer mixture comprising a maleimide monomer compound, a vinyl aromatic compound and a vinyl cyanide compound in a continuous stirred tank reactor, and then further reacting the material in a plug flow reactor to obtain a desired conversion level, and then devolatizing the product. The process provides enhanced oligomer control and enhanced levels of glass transition temperature and other properties. The maleimide copolymer obtained by the process may be further blended with impact modifiers to produce thermoplastic compositions which are useful for making molded articles such as automotive parts for under the hood applications, such as distributor caps.

摘要: This invention relates to the design of apparatus for processing electronic devices, including equipment for chemical vapor deposition or transport polymerization. The new designs of gas separator plates, their configuration, and the regulation of gas flows through the system provides control over the pattern of precursor gas flow away from the separation plates, thereby decreasing the amount of byproducts that are deposited on the plates and throughout the reactor. New designs for shaping other surfaces of the dispersion head reduces contamination of those elements, and new designs for chamber panels decrease the deposition of byproducts on those surfaces, as well as other elements of the reactor. Decreasing deposition of byproducts increases the amount and the quality of the film that can be deposited without requiring the system to be shut down for cleaning. This increases the throughput of products in the deposition process, thereby increasing the efficiency of electronic device manufacture and lowering the cost.

摘要: A bulk or mass polymerization process is provided which involves bulk polymerization of vinyl monomers in a liquid phase in the presence of a nitrogen rich vapor phase containing amounts of nitric oxide effective to inhibit formation of popcorn polymer in the vapor head space during the reaction. The process may be used as a step in the formation of polymer or may be used as the entire reaction process.
