摘要: The present invention aims to provide a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle capable of improving turning performance on a wet road surface as compared to that of conventional tires. The pneumatic tire for a motorcycle comprises a tread 28 consisting of a tread central portion having a width of 60% of a tread developed width and tread side portions located outside of the tread central portion in the width direction of the tire and a plurality of wide inclined grooves 42 and narrow inclined grooves 44 inclined at an angle of less than 90 degrees with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire formed in the tread side portion such that the grooves continuously extend over a region of 50% or more of a width of the tread side portion. A groove width of the narrow inclined grooves 44 is set within a range between 0.3 mm and 2.5 mm. A total area of the wide inclined grooves 42 is set to not more than 20% of an area of the tread side portion. Such configuration can satisfy both of drainage performance and block stiffness of the tread contact portion in turning at a high level to obtain a higher grip force in turning on a wet road surface than that of conventional tires.

摘要: A pneumatic tire for motorcycles is provided which can improve the traction performance especially during sharp cornering by largely leaning a vehicle (motorbike) followed by acceleration, and the stability during leaning of a vehicle in addition to enhancing the steering stability at high speed.A pneumatic tire for motorcycles having a tread portion 11 formed in a circular shape, the tread portion 11 having a crown portion which has a spiral belt layer 3 in its inside in the radial direction of the tire, the spiral belt layer having an angle of 0 to 5° with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire and an arrangement width 0.5 to 0.8 times as large as the tread width, wherein the spiral belt layer is arranged in such a manner that the center of the transverse direction of the spiral belt layer coincides with the tire equator and the curvature radius (R1) from the end portion of the spiral belt layer to the end portion of the tread portion is larger than the curvature radius (R2) from the end portion of the spiral belt layer to the tire equatorial plane.

摘要: This invention provides a pneumatic tire for a two-wheeled vehicle with improved lateral grip at cornering, controlled tread wear in the shoulder regions, ensured uniformity of wear on the left and the right, and secured heat generation in the tread on an actual vehicle. The pneumatic tire has left and right dissimilar rubber layers (15b, 15c) disposed in an inner layer of the tread in the left and right shoulder regions (16), respectively. Of the left and right dissimilar rubber layers (15b, 15c), made of a dissimilar rubber of a smaller tan δ than that of the rubber of a tread surface layer (15a), the width is within a range of 5% to 25% of the extended tread width, the position of the end on the tread edge (15z) side is within a range of 5% to 14% of the extended tread width as measured from the tread edge (15z), the position of the end on the center region (17) side is within a range of 15% to 30% of the extended tread width as measured from the tread edge (15z), and the thickness is 20% to 70% of the whole thickness of the tread. Also, the tan δ of the rubber constituting the left dissimilar rubber layer (15b) disposed on the more frequently used left side is smaller than the tan δ of the rubber constituting the right dissimilar rubber layer (15c) disposed on the less frequently used right side.
