摘要: Expressed Sequence Tags (ESTs) isolated from lily are disclosed. The ESTs provide a unique molecular tool for the targeting and isolation of novel genes for plant protection and improvement. The disclosed ESTs have utility in the development of new strategies for understanding critical plant developmental and metabolic pathways. The disclosed ESTs have particular utility in isolating genes and promoters, identifying and mapping the genes involved in developmental and metabolic pathways, and determining gene function. Sequence homology analyses using the ESTs provided in the present invention, will result in more efficient gene screening for desirable agronomic traits. An expanding database of these select pieces of the plant genomics puzzle will quickly expand the knowledge necessary for subsequent functional validation, a key limitation in current plant biotechnology efforts.

The method includes utilizing automatic identification objects positioned at predetermined locations about a perimeter of a zone, each automatic identification object having zone determining information that is readable by a reader. The zone determining information from at least one automatic identification object is obtained using a reader that is carried by the material handling device. Zone determining information is obtained from a source different from the at least one automatic identification object. The zone determining information obtained from the at least one automatic identification object and the source different from the at least one automatic identification object is processed to identify that the material handling device is moving into the zone.

摘要: An apparatus, method and system for installing water impervious barrier walls underground and particularly in levees. A mobile trailer movably mounted on rails carries upstanding front and rear masts and a carrier bar therebetween that is power driven up and down the masts. Augers mounted on the carrier bar are driven into the levee surface to create overlapping holes of loosened soil. A slurry of cement based grout is pumped through the augers to be mixed with the soil by the rotating, retracting augers to produce a soil-concrete slurry. A following mobile trailer also movably mounted on the rails is moved into position over the wall segment of uncured soil-concrete slurry. The following trailer carries a supply of water impervious membrane. Mechanism on the second trailer inserts the membrane into the soil-concrete slurry to produce a water impervious barrier wall segment. The trailers are sequentially moved along the levee to install a continuous water impervious barrier wall along the levee length.

摘要: A bicycle seat having a single piece of fabric slung across a frame member and resembling a hammock. The fabric is drawn taut and resides generally in a single plane. In contrast to a saddle seat which requires one to straddle one's buttocks across a small padded seat with weight unevenly distributed thereon, the present invention forms a sling to evenly support the weight of the rider across a large surface area. The fabric has an elongated sleeve at one end which is threaded over the frame, and can be easily removed therefrom for washing or replacement. The frame is comprised of a single rod formed into an upwardly extending triangular frame. An adjusting mechanism at the proximal end of the seat can be adjusted to effect the tautness of the fabric. A conventional coupling clamp is implemented to couple the seat frame to a conventional bicycle. With the large, planar, weight supporting surface, one can enjoy a more comfortable ride without the discomfort created by conventional seats, and will not be sore thereafter.
