摘要:
An ensemble system enabling easy, flexible assignment of performance parts to the facilitator and the performers. In “setting” field, performance terminals (facilitator and piano (1 to 5)) are displayed. A pull-down menu for selecting presence/absence of each performance terminal and radio buttons for assigning performance parts are displayed. According to the presence/absence of each student, the selection of a presence/absence menu is inputted. When song title data is selected, a controller (1) reads a part assignment table of the song data and assigns a performance part to each performance terminal for which presence is selected. A performance part can be manually assigned to each performance terminal.

Performance interface system includes a motion detector provided for movement with a performer, and a control system for receiving detection data transmitted from the motion detector and controlling a performance of a tone in response to the received detection data. State of a performer's motion is detected via a sensor of the motion detector, and detection data representative of the detected motion state is transmitted to the control system. The control system receives the detection data from the motion detector, analyzes the performer's motion on the basis of the detection data, and then controls a tone performance in accordance with the analyzed data. With this arrangement, the performer can readily take part in the tone performance in the control system. For example, as the performer moves his or her hand, leg or trunk while listening to a manual or automatic performance of a music piece being carried out by a performance apparatus of the control system, the motion detector detects the performer's motion and transmits corresponding detection data to the control system, which in turn variably controls a predetermined one of tonal factors in the music piece performance. This arrangement can readily provide interactive performance control and thereby allows an inexperienced or unskilled performer to take part in a performance with enjoyment.

A musical performance processing apparatus that provides better assistance for student's practice. The apparatus includes a main unit in which music data including performance information of right- and left hand parts is stored, and a performance terminal having a keyboard divided into two key ranges by a split point. Each key range is set as a tapping or normal performance key range. The main unit generates a musical tone when input with performance information generated by depression of a key in the normal performance key range, and automatically reproduces performance information of designated part of music data for the number of beats corresponding to key depression, when input with performance information generated by depression of a key in the tapping performance key range. Sounding is stopped, if there is a deviation between a tempo of teacher's tapping performance and timing of student's performance.

An ensemble system enabling even performer unskilled in playing a musical instrument to easily grasp the difference in tempo from the performance of the facilitator. The circle corresponding to the performance terminal “Facilitator” is indicated fixedly on the center line of the vertical lines. The circle corresponding to the performance terminal (for example, piano (1)) of each user moves horizontally correspondingly to the difference from the performance terminal “Facilitator”. If the press of a key of performance terminal lags behind that of the performance terminal “Facilitator” by one bar, the circle moves left onto the vertical line next to the vertical center line. If the press of a key of the performance terminal lags behind that of the performance terminal “Facilitator” by half the bar (two beats), the circle moves left by half the interval between the vertical lines from the vertical center line. If the press of a key of the performance terminal leads that of the performance terminal “Facilitator”, the circle moves right (FIG. 7).

There is provided a musical tone generation control system which enables the user to obtain a feeling of operation as well as to obtain a feeling of satisfaction as if he or she were aggressively participating in performance or playback of a musical composition or the like. The musical tone generation control system has at least one operating terminal that can be carried by an operator. Each operating terminal detects a motion of the operating terminal caused by an operation of the operator, generates motion information based on the detected motion, and transmits the generated motion information to the musical tone generation control apparatus. A musical tone generation control apparatus including a tone generating apparatus that generates musical tones generates performance control information for controlling musical tones generated from the tone generating apparatus based on the received motion information, generates vibration control information based on the generated performance control information, and transmits the generated vibration control information to the operating terminal. The operating terminal generates a vibration corresponding to the received vibration control information.

A circuit for adding a resonance tone to a tone signal to be generated is provided. When a damper operator is not operated, the resonance tone is not added but an ordinary tone signal is generated. When the damper operator has been operated, the resonance tone is added so that a tone signal including the resonance tone is generated. An effect of a damper operator, i.e., loud pedal, in a piano, a natural musical instrument, is thereby simulated with high fidelity. The resonance tone may be produced by passing an ordinary tone signal through a filter. Alternatively, data obtained by sampling an actually produced tone of a piano, a natural musical instrument, when a damper operator, i.e., loud pedal, is ON may be stored in a memory and a resonance tone may be generated by reading out the stored data from the memory. The signal of the generated resonance tone may be sounded by itself or after mixing with an ordinary tone signal at a suitable mixing ratio. In addition to the imparting of the resonance tone, a known control for switching of a decay rate of a tone volume envelope may be performed.

A specific type of a human operator's gesture (such as a downward, upward or lateral swinging movement) and its movement amount (such as a speed or acceleration of the movement) is detected by a movement detector. The detected movement amount is compensated in accordance with the detected movement type, and various factors to control dynamics of a music performance (such as tone volume, color, pitch, effect etc.) are variably controlled on the basis of the compensated movement amount. At least one of minimal and maximal values indicative of the operator's repetitive gesture is selectively extracted from the output of the movement detector so that the performance tempo is controlled on the basis of a particular time point at which the selected minimal or maximal value has been extracted. Extreme value (minimal or maximal value) indicative of the operator's repetitive gesture is extracted from the output of the movement detector and a tempo controlling point is set a predetermined time after a particular time point at which the extreme value has been extracted, so that the performance tempo is controlled on the basis of the thus-set tempo controlling point.

A touch controller according to the present invention can allow both wide expression and easy play of an electronic musical instrument by controlling a degree of the initial touch effect based on performance data in real time. According to the present invention, a width of a tone volume or an attack speed of a musical tone which can be controlled according to initial touch data is controlled in real time based on another performance data. As another performance data, an elapse time from a key OFF event of an immediately preceding performance tone or an elapse time from a key ON event of an immediately preceding performance tone may be used.
