摘要： A secondary battery module including a plurality of unit batteries that each include a cap plate and a case connected to either one of a positive electrode and a negative electrode of an electrode assembly and an electrode terminal connected to the other of the positive electrode and negative electrode, wherein the electrode terminal protrudes outside of a unit battery by passing through the cap plate covering the case, and a connector having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end fits on the electrode terminal of one of the unit batteries and is screw-engaged to the electrode terminal by a nut and the second end is connected to the case of another adjacent unit battery.

摘要： A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly having a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator interposed between the positive and negative electrodes and a container for receiving the electrode assembly inside thereof. The secondary battery also includes a cap assembly fixed to the container to seal the container and a gasket disposed between the container and the cap assembly. The gasket has at least one concavo-convex portion on a surface contacting the container and/or the cap assembly. This improved gasket structure enhances the air tightness of the secondary battery.

摘要： According to an embodiment of the present invention, a rechargeable battery includes a case, a first electrode coupled to the case, a second electrode coupled to the case and the second electrode having a portion extending outside of the case, a short bar electrically coupled to the portion of the second electrode, and an extensible member extending from the case and at least a portion of the short bar being on the extensible member with a gap therebetween. The extensible member is configured to couple the short bar electrically to the first electrode in response to an overcharging condition of the rechargeable battery, thereby short-circuiting the first and second electrodes via the short bar.
