摘要: A self-contained breathing apparatus includes an air cylinder pressurized to about 5500 psi, wherein the air cylinder is compatible with infrastructure used in conjunction with the air cylinder. The self-contained breathing apparatus also includes a first regulator valve for reducing air pressure from the air cylinder to a predetermined level. A second regulator valve is also provided for reducing the air pressure from the predetermined level to a level suitable for use by an operator, wherein air is supplied from the second regulator valve to the operator via a mask. The self-contained breathing apparatus further includes a frame for supporting the air cylinder on the back of the operator. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: An automatic sensor excitation voltage adjustment feature, a multi-range concentration feature, a single calibration feature and a barrier circuit feature. The automatic sensor excitation voltage adjustment feature includes a transmitter having a transmitter microprocessor that provides an initial voltage to a sensor having a sensor microprocessor. As the voltage changes a correction signal is relayed from the sensor microprocessor to the transmitter microprocessor. The correction signal is used to adjust the voltage applied to the sensor. The multi-range concentration sensor feature includes an amplifier associated with the senior/micro-processor to create gain settings used to optimize sensor resolution by changing a gain value for the sensor. This enables use of a single sensor for a variety of different concentration ranges. The single calibration feature enables a sensor to be calibrated at a single gas concentration value, and thereafter be used for a variety of different concentration range applications.

The processor is also configured to register equipment data in the memory. The gateway device also includes a transceiver configured to receive the equipment data from external equipment, transmit responder credentials to the computer and transmit the translated equipment data to the computer.

摘要: An apparatus for transferring gas to a gas vessel is provided. The apparatus includes a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader configured to interrogate an RFID tag associated with the gas vessel for RFID information. The apparatus includes a gas input port configured to be in removably connected to gas supply, a gas output port configured to be removably connected to the gas vessel and a processor configured to: determine at least one gas vessel characteristic associated with the RFID information, control a flow of gas from the gas input port to the gas output port based at least in part on the at least one gas vessel characteristic, determine at least one filling criterion based at least in part on the RFID information, determine whether the at least one filling criterion is met, and trigger at least one action if the at least one filling criterion is not met.
