A bicycle map is displayed on a screen. The bicycle map includes travel route information obtained by associating map information and cyclist information regarding bicycle travel routes. First, bicycle positional information regarding a bicycle being running is acquired, by use of a positioning system and also bicycle-related information when the bicycle positional information is acquired. Second, travel route information obtained by associating the bicycle positional information with the bicycle-related information is created and stored in a storage device. Then, pieces of travel route information created by the same or different information processing apparatuses are merged, and merged running route information is displayed with the map information on the screen.
