摘要: The present invention is a method and system for managing a transmitter located in close proximity to a sensitive receiver. In an exemplary embodiment, the method may include recognizing incomplete receive operations on frequencies that may be affected by co-site transmit operations. Further, the method may include detecting the beginning of a speech message and delaying the speech message up to a selected maximum amount of time. The speech message may be delayed to correspond to required communications performance, allowing receive and transmit operations to be coordinated and thus, reducing the possibility of the receiver to be interrupted or affected by the transmitter operating on a relatively nearby frequency.

The aircraft warning system can use at least two types of radar returns and can measure decorrelation time to detect the HVB condition. Warnings of HVB conditions can allow an aircraft to avoid threats posed by such conditions including damage to aircraft equipment and engines.

摘要: A receiver or spectrum determiner includes stages, Fourier transforms, phase delays and a summer. The stages are coupled are in pipelined fashion along a signal path. Each of the stages has a respective output for providing at least one respective demodulated signal for the stage. The Fourier transforms are for receiving the respective demodulated signal and providing a respective Fourier transform. The phase delays each have a delay associated with the respective stage. Each phase delay is for receiving the respective Fourier transform and providing a respective phase delayed transform in accordance with the respective stage. The summer is for summing the respective phase delayed Fourier transform from each phase delay. The receiver can be an electronic intelligence (ELINT) receiver.

摘要: The present invention is directed to an avionics system. The avionics system may include a plurality of multi-function antennas. Each multi-function antenna includes a plurality of antenna elements and an antenna electronics system, the antenna electronics system being communicatively coupled with the plurality of antenna elements. The multi-function antennas are configured for being mounted to an exterior surface of a pressure vessel (ex—an exterior surface of an aircraft). The avionics system may further include a plurality of LRUs connected to the antennas via fiber optical cables, the LRUs being located in an interior of the aircraft. The LRUs receive communication control inputs from a communication system and establish settings of the LRUs based upon the received communication control inputs. The multi-function antennas are configured for performing operations (exs.—transmit operations, receive operations) based upon the settings established by the LRUs and based upon the communication control inputs.

摘要: The present invention is an apparatus and method for simultaneously processing multiple communication and navigation signals. An apparatus of the present invention may comprise a single receiver with a direct radio frequency (RF) sampling front end, a single analog to digital converter, a digital downconverter and a digital signal processor. In an embodiment of the invention, the receiver of the present invention may simultaneously process navigation signals in the 108-118 MHz band and communication signals in the 118-137 MHz band.
