    摘要: A removable splice joint between two sections of busway constructed to prevent undesired relative movement of the component parts of the joint while also providing interchangeability between component parts and thereby reducing the number of different parts required for assembly of the joint. The joint includes a top cover plate and a bottom cover plate, each with an inclined periphery, a pair of identical outer phase barriers and a plurality of identical inner phase barriers. Each outer barrier includes a pair of ears which are respectively received in associated slots formed in the cover plates. Molded ribs formed on the barriers in cooperation with a square insulating tube which extends between the two outer phase barriers and through each of the inner phase barriers restrict relative movement between component parts of the joint assembly which is captivated by a bolt extending through each of the cover plates as well as each of the barriers. A pull strap connected to the top and bottom cover plates permits the joint to be removed from the side of a busway section permitting selective isolation of a segment of an electrical distribution system.

    摘要: A sectionalized electrical distribution feeder system for carrying electrical power from a source point to a use point or a distribution point. Each section of the distribution system includes a substantially cylindrical enclosure capable of being easily cut with a hand saw. The enclosure also provides support and protection from physical damage to a plurality of electrical conductors which are disposed within the enclosure. The conductors are held firmly in place by a number of electrically insulating supports which snugly fit inside the enclosure. Each conductor can be easily cut with a metal cutting hand saw, and is enclosed in an electrically insulating sheath which can be removed from a newly cut end to provide a contact surface. A joint connecting member is provided for electrically connecting the conductors of adjacent sections of the electrical distribution feeder system. A joint cover connects the two adjacent enclosures together and provides additional protection for the joint connecting member.

    摘要: An elbow for changing the run direction of a pre-bussed rigid conduit electrical distribution system. The elbow has a number of individually insulated electrical conductors each of which is formed to a predetermined angle. The conductors are enclosed within a hollow housing which is formed to the same predetermined angle such that it will enclose the electrical conductors. A uniform and continuous support is provided for that portion of each electrical conductor which is enclosed within the housing.

    摘要: An underfloor duct designed to be imbedded in a concrete floor is constructed from first and second duct partial sections which are held together by an interlocking structure integrally formed from the sheet metal of the duct partial sections. In a preferred form the duct partial sections are duct half sections substantially identically formed from sheet metal. In another preferred form, the duct partial sections define flanges extending outwardly at an intermediate level along the sides of a rectangular cross section duct, whereby the duct may be supported from the flanges. Also, multiple cell duct configurations are disclosed.
