The method may also include mapping a position in the file to a location on the target disk to provide a map that associates the position in the file with the location on the target disk. The method may further include using the map to write at least a portion of the image to the target disk to provide a restored operating system on the target disk. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
