Abstract:
A humidifier includes a modular performance indicator that is removably attached to a grill of the humidifier air outlet. The performance indicator generally includes at least one humidity sensing means and a display. The humidity sensing means is positioned within the airflow for measuring the exit-relative humidity of the airflow and the display is coupled to the humidity sensing means for indicating when the humidifier wick requires replacement and/or the humidifier water supply requires refilling based upon the measured exit-relative humidity reaching a predetermined value.
Abstract:
A wall or room partition mountable modular rail rack component mounting system. The system includes wall racks shaped for interlocking engagement with each other at their opposite ends and cross stiffener members for placement between the wall rails to hold them in rigid space apart relationship. The wall rails each having a shaped opening at one end and a mating element at the other end thereof. The shaped opening and the mating element interlock with each other. The dimensions and spacings of openings and elements on the wall rails and rail racks for mounting thereon provide for rail racks mounted in vertically aligned closely space relationship that gives uninterrupted rail rack placement.
Abstract:
A containment system for significantly reducing the emission of high frequency electromagnetic waves from a computer system into the external environment. The containment system includes the combination of two enclosures and a shielding assembly. One of the enclosures is associated with the high frequency components and the other with the low frequency components of the computer system. The shielding assembly is positioned between the two enclosures to prevent high frequency electromagnetic waves from passing from one chamber to the other over the connection between the two chambers.
Abstract:
A fail-safe electromagnetic linkage has a support device for a valve head, and an actuator component actuable by an actuator. The support device is coupled to the actuator component while power is supplied to the electromagnet and decoupled from the actuator component while power is not supplied to the electromagnet. The assembly further comprises a return mechanism configured to drive the support device relative to the actuator component if power is not supplied to the electromagnet.
Abstract:
The present invention is a family of portable humidifiers. Each of the portable humidifiers has a housing, a number of wick assemblies, and a fan. The housing has an air inlet, an air outlet and a reservoir for holding water. The number of wick assemblies are positioned within the housing to contact the water in the reservoir. The wick assemblies are arranged in parallel between the air inlet and the fan. The fan is provided within the housing for creating an airflow. The airflow enters the air inlet, passes through the wick assemblies for adding moisture to the airflow from the water in the reservoir, and exits through the air outlet. The number for at least one of the portable humidifiers is different from the number for another of the portable humidifiers. Preferably each of the portable humidifiers includes a wick frame seated within the reservoir for supporting the wick assemblies. Each of the wick assemblies preferably has a wick element and a button.
Abstract:
A method of doping selected areas of semiconductor material in the fabrication of integrated circuit devices, including placing a semiconductor substrate in a glow discharge reactor, introducing reactant gases into the reactor, subjecting the reactant gases to a plasma discharge, depositing, upon the substrate, a dopant carrier layer comprising an amorphous semiconductor material having a predetermined dopant concentration, controlling the thickness of the dopant carrier layer, and driving the dopant atoms out of the amorphous semiconductor dopant carrier layer into the selected areas of the semiconductor substrate by means of a controlled elevated temperature anneal.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a multi-functional cooker having a thermal probe operatively connected to a controller for controlling a heating element in response to a real-time temperature reading from the probe. By controlling the level of heat provided by the heating element in response to real-time temperature readings, optimal comestible flavor may be achieved. The multi-functional cooker also includes a hinged lid for directing fluid on an inner surface of the lid into a cooking vessel of the invention upon opening of the lid.
