A connector connects the electric vehicle to the electric vehicle charger. A power source provides power to the electric vehicle charger. A mobile charging platform controller determines a first position of the mobile charging plat form and transmits and receives control data for scheduling a meeting location between the mobile charging platform and the electric vehicle responsive to the first position of the mobile charging platform and a second position of the electric vehicle.

    Abstract: An adapter converts a dumb charger into a smart charger. A first input interface interconnects the adapter with a first charging connector of a charger. A second input interface interconnects the adapter with a second charging connector of an electric device. A wireless communications interface provides wireless connectivity to the adapter that is initiated responsive to connection of the first input interface with the first charging connector of the charger. Control circuitry interconnects the first input interface with the second input interface via a signaling connection for providing communications between the first input interface and the second input interface. The control circuitry further provides a power connection for selectively providing a charging signal from the first input interface to the second input interface responsive to commands received over the wireless communications interface and the signaling connection.

    Abstract: A system for controlling mobile electric vehicle charging platforms includes a plurality of mobile charging platforms for charging an electric vehicle. At least one central server implements a mobile electric vehicle charging system. The mobile electric vehicle charging system further includes a communications interface for transmitting and receiving the control data between the at least one central server implementing the mobile electric vehicle charging system, the plurality of mobile charging platforms and the electric vehicle. A database stores mobile charging platform data and electric vehicle data. An artificial intelligence controller generates the control data to schedule the meeting location between the mobile charging platform and the electric vehicle responsive to first position data received from the mobile charging platform application, second position data received from the electric vehicle, the mobile charging platform data and the electric vehicle data.

    Abstract: A system for managing a group of charging stations for at least one electric vehicle, comprises a central electric vehicle charger controller for controlling system operation. A plurality of charging units communicates with the central electric vehicle charger controller. A database associated with the central electric vehicle charger controller storing charger data on each of the plurality of charging units. A first interface within the central electric vehicle charger controller enables communication between the central electric vehicle charger controller and the plurality of charging units for charging the at least one electric vehicle. A second interface within the central electric vehicle charger controller enables communications between the central electric vehicle charger controller and a plurality of mobile charging applications enables finding of locations of at least one of the plurality of charging units and makes reservations with the at least one of the plurality of charging units. A charger locator controller on the central electric vehicle charger controller performs real-time determination of a closest charging unit of the plurality of charging units to the at least one electric vehicle responsive to the charger data and a current position of the at least one electric vehicle. A reservation controller on the central electric vehicle charger controller enables a user of one of the plurality of mobile charging applications to select the closest charging unit and makes a reservation with the closest charging unit at a selected time period.

    Abstract: A system for registering resource stations for vehicle energizing that may be used to energize vehicles. A database stores subscriber data relating to subscribers registered with the system and resource station data relating to registered resource stations for vehicle energizing that have been located by a reporting entity. A server provides a resource station management system that receives the resource station data for a resource station for vehicle energizing from the reporting entity, registers the resource station for vehicle energizing with the resource station management system if the resource outlet for vehicle energizing has not previously been registered and stores the resource station data for the resource station for vehicle energizing in the database. The server is further configured to receive a search request for a useable resource station for vehicle energizing from a subscriber, the search request including location information defining an area of search for the useable resource station for vehicle energizing, locate at least one resource station for vehicle energizing within the area of search that is registered with the resource station management system and provide a location of the at least one resource station for vehicle energizing located within the area of search to the subscriber. A network interface for connecting the server to a network for receiving the resource station data and the search request.
