Abstract: An adapter for converting a dumb charger into a smart charger comprises a first input interface for interconnecting the adapter with a first charging connector of the dumb charger. A second input interface interconnects the adapter with a second charging connector of an electric vehicle. A wireless communications interface provides wireless connectivity to the adapter. Control circuitry interconnects the first input interface with the second input to provide a power connection for selectively providing a charging signal from the first input interface to the second input interface responsive to commands received over the wireless communications interface.

Abstract: A system for registering power outlets for electric vehicle charging that may be used to charge electric vehicles. A database stores subscriber data relating to subscribers registered with the system and power outlet data relating to registered power outlets for electric vehicle charging that have been located by a reporting entity. A server provides a power outlet management system that receives the power outlet data for a power outlet for electric vehicle charging from the reporting entity, registers the power outlet for electric vehicle charging with the power outlet management system if the power outlet electric vehicle charging has not previously been registered and stores the power outlet data for the power outlet for electric vehicle charging in the database. The server is further configured to receive a search request for a useable power outlet for electric vehicle charging from a subscriber, the search request including location information defining an area of search for the useable power outlet for electric vehicle charging, locate at least one power outlet for electric vehicle charging within the area of search that is registered with the power outlet management system and provide a location of the at least one power outlet for electric vehicle charging located within the area of search to the subscriber. A network interface for connecting the server to a network for receiving the power outlet data and the search request.

Abstract: An adapter converts a dumb charger into a smart charger. A first input interface interconnects the adapter with a first charging connector of a charger. A wireless communications interface provides wireless connectivity to the adapter that is initiated responsive to connection of the first input interface with the first charging connector of the charger. Abstract: A system for controlling mobile electric vehicle charging platforms includes a plurality of mobile charging platforms for charging an electric vehicle. At least one central server implements a mobile electric vehicle charging system. Abstract: An apparatus enables an electric vehicle charger to communicate with a central control network. A first input interface interconnects the apparatus with the electric vehicle charger. A second input interface interconnects the apparatus with a charging connector associated with an electric vehicle. A wireless communications interface provides wireless connectivity between the central control network and the electric vehicle charger to receive bidirectional communications thereon. Abstract: A system for registering power outlets that may be used to charge electric vehicles, personal mobility devices, electrical and electronic devices which includes a database for storing subscriber data relating to subscribers registered with the system and power outlet data relating to registered outlets that have been located by a subscriber. A server for providing a power outlet management system. The server is configured to receive the power outlet data for a power outlet from the subscriber, register the power outlet with the power outlet management system if the power outlet has not previously been registered and store the power outlet data for the power outlets in the database. The server is further configured to receive a search request for a useable power outlet from the subscriber. The search request includes location information defining an area of search for the useable power outlet. The server locates at least one power outlet within the area of search that is registered with the power outlet management system and provides a location of the at least one power outlet located within the area of search to the subscriber. A network interface connects the server to a network for receiving the power outlet data and the search request.

Abstract: A system for managing a group of charging stations for at least one electric vehicle, comprises a central electric vehicle charger controller for controlling system operation. A plurality of charging units communicates with the central electric vehicle charger controller. A database associated with the central electric vehicle charger controller storing charger data on each of the plurality of charging units. A first interface within the central electric vehicle charger controller enables communication between the central electric vehicle charger controller and the plurality of charging units for charging the at least one electric vehicle. A second interface within the central electric vehicle charger controller enables communications between the central electric vehicle charger controller and a plurality of mobile charging applications enables finding of locations of at least one of the plurality of charging units and makes reservations with the at least one of the plurality of charging units. A charger locator controller on the central electric vehicle charger controller performs real-time determination of a closest charging unit of the plurality of charging units to the at least one electric vehicle responsive to the charger data and a current position of the at least one electric vehicle. A reservation controller on the central electric vehicle charger controller enables a user of one of the plurality of mobile charging applications to select the closest charging unit and makes a reservation with the closest charging unit at a selected time period.

A network interface for connecting the server to a network for receiving the resource station data and the search request.
