摘要： A paper clip is made of sheet metal folded over in a U-shaped profile to provide parallel clip faces and one of the clip faces has at least one slit bordering a strip of the sheet metal which is bowed out, so as to form a bistable spring portion. The spring strip is bowed out for inserting the clip. Finger pressure on the strip snaps it into its clipping position and finger pressure on the clip face beyond the ends of the bowed strip will snap the strip back into its open position for release of the papers.

摘要： A multiple operating head machine, such as a multiple spindle textile spooling machine has apparatus connected thereto to determine the operating overall efficiency of the machine by analyzing the down-time of individual spindles. Each spindle is connected to a switch which is closed when the spindle is operating, placing a resistance in series with the switch. All switches of all spindles are connected in parallel so that, when all spindles are operating an equivalent resistance is placed in a time integrating and pulse generating circuit, the pulse sequence of which supplies an indication of the integrated overall operating time of the spindles of the machines.

摘要： There is disclosed an apparatus for cutting a through passing lengthwise displaceable strand of material, especially a textile yarn, which incorporates a displaceably guided cutting knife means having a cutting edge portion. An anvil body means providing an anvil surface is rotatably mounted in a position to cooperate with the cutting knife means. The anvil body means is formed of a material possessing less hardness than the material forming the cutting edge portion. Drive means serve to advance the cutting knife means with its cutting edge portion against the anvil surface. The rotatably mounted anvil body means is contacted by the lengthwise displaceable strand of material in such a way that during each cutting operation the anvil body means carries out a partial rotational movement in order to expose a different portion of the anvil surface for the next cutting operation.

摘要： To detect small variations from a standard thread size and to prevent spurious operation of the yarn gauge, particularly upon re-starting of yarn winding machines after shut down, an electrical reference source is provided supplying a reference potential, which is compared with a normal signal level corresponding to yarn passing through a measuring head. An error signal, obtained upon slow deviation of the normal signal with respect to the reference, controls the amplification of an amplifier connected to the measuring head to null the error signal. Short-time signal swings indicative of defects are not compared with the reference so that defect signals are sensed normally.
